Great piece of furniture

I have bought 6 Chairs, over the last several years. Unfortunately, all of them have failed me in one way or another. This, is the best one of the bunch...but there are a few issues.1. I needed to add some cushions underneath the seat pad, to lift JUST my bottom higher off of the springs.2. I added a slim cushion behind the back pad, to keep from feeling the slats of the arch behind me.3. The Ottoman is a lot lower than the Chair, so I again had to add some cushions to lift my feet and legs to a matching height.This is STILL the best Chair that I've bought over the years!I don't know why no one, makes a Chair that's JUST COMFORTABLE to sit in. All I really need, is a flat piece of wood (that's HALF of the depth of a normal Chair) that also tilts me slightly FORWARD, and is covered with an 'Arched and Padded' cushion (under my bottom) that slopes down towards each of the Armrests, that doesn't have ANY wood that touches my under-thighs IN ANY WAY. All Chair Seats slant your bottom at a severe angle BACK & down into the pinching apex of the 'backrest' while jamming wood into the underside of your legs, instead of tilting your butt UP & forward at a slight angle...so that there is nothing but air under the bottom of your thighs...so that you can sit comfortably for longer periods of time. Chairs are still being made, like it's 1950...and it mystifies me!So, with a little adjustment by using 'throw pillows'...you can convert this Chair into something that you'll enjoy sitting in for a while. Again, this is the CLOSEST that I've come to being comfortable...IN YEARS...so a big 'Thank You' to the manufacturer for making this available!!!I just wish that a company would make a Chair for the modern age, instead of continuing to manufacture seating that is ergonomically meant to force you out of it as quickly as possible.I hope that the maker of this Chair, will take my comments into account as they design seating from this moment forward. People are sitting for longer periods of time, and so far...NO ONE is making Chairs for the future. I hope that they heed my advice and lead the way!For now, this is worth buying...until someone designs and builds the replacement for all current Chairs, that are built for ALL of us to use in comfort.

I bought this for my daughter-in-law when she was pregnant. Now that she has the baby it works so great for her.

Initially, the two gliders I purchased for my mother and self, were nice.Over a short time, (about 3 months) the springs and cloth gave way on each glider, right and left, respectively and we're not at all, overweight. I attempted to correct the problem myself by adding two layers of two inch foam. It helped some but mom still can't get as comfortable as she wants. They each still lean to one side where the springs failed. I'm giving this one star as the Ottoman for each glider is still in great shape.Update on this item, (01/24/2025) just today, a bearing and spindle separated while mom was using the chair. This makes her chair completely unusable now and it's only a couple years old.

The media could not be loaded. I previously bought a used glider and ottoman set and it was not really comfortable and getting bad. My toddler daughter really likes to be held on that chair so we still had to use it. After trying my friend's brand name rocking chair set, I learned that my used chair's cushion was non-existent. Since I got pregnant again, I wanted to get a brand new one so that I can use for my current child and upcoming baby.I got this one because based on the listing date, it was a brand new model. Also the total weight seemed lighter than other models which helps moving easier. The assembly was quite easy because there were not a lot of parts to put together. The rocking base and ottoman already came preassembled. Following the assembly manual, it only took 15 minutes to finish the assembly.As my picture is shown, the cushion for the base was over 2.6 inch. The cushion for the base and the ottoman were firm. And the cushion on the back is soft and felt close to bed mattress. As my video is shown, this chair set is very stable and does not make any sound while rocking.

I am very glad I purchased this chair. The chair rocks nice. Color is perfect and the wood is very rich looking. The ottoman is nice too and adds to the comfort. Plus the chair arrived 2 days early. Thank you for a nice chair.
