Q: Is the paper toothy at all? I prefer writing with pencil on toothy paper

I was not familiar with the term "toothy" until I googled it (seems like it is a kind of paper very popular with artists). These paper is pretty smooth to me (aka not very "toothy"). The color of the page also seems to not contrast very well with pencils (IMO). I find it more difficult to read pencil writing (which is why I use exclusively pens on this paper). Of course I only bought the "everyday" version, I cannot speak for the "premium" or "ultimate" version.
