Very useful to store even heavy items, reasonable price

I don't know why barely anyone seems to care about the actual capacity of this shelf.I checked the model number and found out in the H***d**** website as below:Shelf Weight Capacity: 10 lbs./ Total Weight Capacity: 40 lbs.I put quite a bit of clothes on it, probably close to 20 pounds, and it's doing fine, looking still very sturdy.I was a bit anxious that the head of the screw would pop out and fall, but surprisingly it's very stable.I got it at almost half of the original price, in the early 20 dollars range, so I'm pretty satisfied. I got two 24-inch ones: one in the closet and another on the wall of my room.In the room, I drilled into a dead end (there was an unexpected beam at the tip, not a dry wall) so I was a bit worried if the anchors won't work -- but surprisingly screwing in still worked.If it goes on sale, I'll consider buying more. But this one unit at 43 dollars plus tax? That's too expensive.

I have an older version of this shelf that I love. I don't like the layout of this newer one nearly as well. The older one has the clothes rod directly beneath the front edge of the shelf, which works perfectly. The new one has the clothes rod raised on a curve at the front edge. This makes the clothes hangers slide off and fall off of the unit. I had to modify it to make it usable. I cut sections off of an old wire clothes hanger and made bridges to close the gaps between the rod and the shelf arms. Now it works, but I have to be careful not to let items I'm storing on the shelf get too close to the front or they block the clothes rod so I can't put hangers on it.The manufacturer thinks this new version is an improvement and advertises that it can be hung with the braces either above or below the shelf, but I disagree. Hanging with the braces above gives something to help prevent objects from falling off of the sides of the shelf, but makes the clothes rod impractical. Hanging with the braces beneath makes the clothes rod usable but reduces safety of items stored on the shelf. The old layout is by far superior.

Some years ago I bought several of these shelves at a building and supply store. When I saw them on Amazon, I bought two additional shelves as I needed two more on one side of my garage. They are identical to what I put up about five years ago. Easy to install and they look good. Not sure of their load rating, but I never put more than about 15 to 18 pounds of items on any one of the shelves.

Nice and sturdy, will prevent stuff from falling behind dryer and gives me storage area. All hardware was included, was a good value for the money.

I used these in a closet under the stairs. We removed the old wooden rod across the closet and used 2 of these hanger shelves to create a place to hang clothes that was farther back and lower. It created a lot more space. Easy to install and sturdy.
