Excellent 12V dc on-demand pump
I delayed writing a review until using this pump for a full season.I am powering this pump off-grid via a 20W solar panel and deep cycle batteries. The pump inlet is connected to a couple of large rain water catch tanks, and we used this set up to water our gardens and fruit trees. The pump pressure was sufficient to push good pressure and flow through as much as 200 feet of garden hose; and the pump's 'on demand' pressure switch turns off the pump when you are not calling for water. I also purchased the associated SHURflo inlet strainer to filter the inlet water, and that screws directly onto the pump inlet.The pump ran perfectly all season, and a few times we watered approx 300-400 gallons with no issues. The pump housing does get warm after continuous use, so I am not sure this pump would handle a continuous duty application.

I received one and the screw for the flow didn’t work. I mailed it back in and they sent me another one. That was perfect with no hassle.

NOT 180 GPH
I have had two of these. The first one worked OK for a while and then the pumping rate dropped dramatically. After checking the filter and the hoses I determined it was not working properly. I saw a rate of about 20 GPH. I ordered a replacement. Right out of the box it was about 20 GPH. My setup is a 1/2" hose to a filter on the inlet and about 25' of hose with a effective height of about 8'.While I liked the ability to set a 12V battery next to it, I ended up getting a 120VAC unit attached to a small generator.
