Skinner’s Field & Trial Grain Free Chicken & Sweet Potato – Complete Dry Adult Dog Food, For Dogs with Intolerance to Grains, 15kg

I've tried many foods for my fussy dog and this grain free Skinners dry food is one of only two brands she will eat enthusiastically and always leave a clean bowl. Most often she will have some cooked chicken or a small wet food pouch mixed in with it, but the bowl is always empty at meal times now thankfully and she seems healthy and happy on it.It's what I would describe as a mid range dry food option. There are a couple of brands with a higher meat content, but they're also in a much higher price bracket which I just can't afford at the moment.However they're are also many other foods that whilst cheaper have a significantly lower meat content and are filled with cheap ingredients to bulk it out. This skinners food has no cheap filler ingredients and is a good balance between quality, meat content and affordability so I'm super glad my dog will happily eat this food. It's 30% poultry meat meal. 95% of which is chicken and 25% sweet potato which I think are good percentages for the price of the food.I opted for the 15kg bag to get the best value. The bag doesn't reseal which is a shame since it lasts such a long time but I just fold the bag down and clip it closed with a peg or dispense it into an air tight container instead. The expiry date on the bag I recieved was a whole year away so plenty of time to use it up before it goes off.Accordng to the pack the breakdown of the food is as follows. Crude protein 25%, crude fat 13%, crude fibre 3.5% and crude ash 8%.I'll happily continue to buy this since my dog loves it and it's a decent quality food that doesn't break the bank so we're both happy with it.

I order this every month, always delivered quickly and my dog likes the taste - one of the more nutritious dry foods on the market at this price point

Had been searching for a food that would satisfy my young collie. He had problems with sensitivity since I had him. So far this seems to have alleviated the problem. Also needed a food that suited my older dogs. A bit more expensive than other brands but value for money. They all seem to enjoy it.

15kg bag is larger than my usual brand and therefore more bang per buck, but although the ingredients are good, it lacks the meat quantity at 30% to my usual 50 to 60%. My dogs enjoy it but seem more satisfied on the other brand.

Great quality dog food that our dogs look good on & enjoy.Please give your courier a talking to …. It is not OK to leave deliveries at our street gate when the way is open up to the house & we have ongoing instructions to leave by our log store next to the back door a good 10 to 15 metres across our own gravel parking. The delivery was closer to our neighbour than us!

Always felt my dog would just keep eating till everything gone if I put it down in one meal. Then she seemed to go off her food. Bit of a shock after nearly 9 years. Purchased Skinner's grain free dry dog food chicken and sweet potato and before I feed her, I soak it in hot water. Then when almost cold, feed her. Licks every bit up from her dish. So I say, I will buy again and would recommend product.

Our 2yr old golden has always enjoyed skinners food. Normally ordered direct with skinners but noticed that it’s better value through Amazon especially with the free delivery. Did order a few months back and the parcel never arrived, Hermes lost the item. So went back to ordering direct. Have it another go recently and this parcel arrived in super quick time through DPD. Great product and great value.

Cheaper than most dry food for what’s in it and very good for my cocker spaniels
