Great value and well referbished.
Excellent refurb PC, RAM has been upgraded from 8GB to 16GB, a small but new SSD added, HDD upgraded from 500GB to 2TB (according to Dell's original specs). Nice and clean, SSD properly mounted in an adapator, no visible cosmetic damage, all works fine.Only minor criticism is that one of the SATA cable has a slightly alarming bend where it attaches to the drive and is squeezed by the case. A SATA cable with a right-angle connector would be better; but it works and after my initial disk drive juggling I don't expect to need to touch it again for a long time, so it's fine really.Excellent value for money. However, I would add the warning that like many PCs of this vintage, it only supports Windows up to version 10, which will be unsupported in two years, it will never officially support Windows 11.This is not a concern for me since I run Linux on it, but if you want a Windows 11 device without any unsupported workarounds, these sort of devices (anything from before 2018 basically) are not suitable.

Very good value for money
Very impressed with the quality of this unit. The internals of the case were nice and clean with no dust and the exterior of the case is basically brand new. The only minor gripe is the SSD wasn’t mounted anywhere - just left hanging on the power cable, but then again there really isn’t anywhere for an SSD to be fastened on this type of case anyway since its design pre-dates the time when SSD’s were as commonplace as they are today. It would have been nice if the seller offered to retrofit a mounting bracket but this would add to the cost - and since the whole idea of Renewed is about sticking to a budget I can understand why it wasn’t. If this is a deal breaker for you it’s always possible to buy one and fit it yourself.I can’t speak to the noise level of the included power supply because it was swapped for an EVGA before ever being switched on, but I did previously buy a renewed Optiplex Low Profile with the same specs. and it wasn’t awful but wasn’t whisper quiet either. If you’re buying one of these for use in an environment where noise is a factor, you’re going to want to spend an extra £80 - £100 on a good quality power supply - which will be required in any case if you’re looking to add a GPU which requires additional power, as there are no spare cables on the supplied Dell PSU.Just on a housekeeping note, the seller does pre-install Windows with a “good to go” User Profile, but it’s highly recommended to erase the hard drives and do a clean install of the Operating System before use. That’s not a comment on the trustworthiness of the seller, but it would be better (and I’m sure less time consuming for the seller when setting these up ready for sale) if only the recovery volume was pre-installed so the user had to install from scratch upon first boot-up.The included 2TB hard drive is very quiet and very fast. I have yet to properly put it through its paces, but ultimately this PC will be used as a sample server for a Mac M1, used in my music room, so there will be a lot of data going backwards and forwards each day. But considering it’s included in the bundle it’s a welcome addition even if it does ultimately need replacing should speed and reliability become a factor down the line. There’s plenty of room in the case to add a second drive if needs be.Very happy. Good quality product. Delivered literally 24 hours after ordering. 8/10

Great value, high spec machine for a home office / studio.
What a great machine for the price. This is a very sturdy, well built, and swift unit - silent in operation. seems fast and responsive in operation, and with these specs, should should keep most households happy for just about everything you want to do. Nice to get a machine with bare bones windows installation and not piled high with bloat-ware!Instructions are simply an A4 sheet advising how to switch on and authorise your windows install, so if you are not already computer literate and need information about all your ports and how to use a computer, then this might not suit you. Anyone who is already pretty computer literate and looking for fast home computer on the cheap should be pretty happy with this. Please note, this is brilliant for most things, but its not specified to be a gaming PC, so I wouldn't recommend this if you want to play games. You should also note its not supplied with a keyboard or mouse, so if you haven't got any you could just plug in, you may wish to order at the same time.Very happy with this purchase and can only recommend.
