Rolling pin great for those with smaller hands
I am a 73-year-old Mexican American who decided that I wanted to get good at making flour tortillas. I have small hands and am dealing with Parkinson's.The rolling pin I was using was the source of much frustration and then I remembered there were smaller rolling pins available. I purchased this item and have been nothing but delighted with how easy it is for me to use. It is responsive to my pushing/shaping motions, and I end up with a reasonably lovely tortilla. One of the best items I've purchased.

Very simple, fun and easy to use!
This roller is very easy to use and a lot of fun as well. I was using a marble roller till I dropped it and it cracked in two. I'm actually glad it did as it forced me to try something knew. The marble was way to heavy, and for me, difficult to use. I make homemade flour tortillas and by the time I was done with a dozen and a half using the marble roller my neck and shoulders were done. I was a little afraid I wouldn't be comfortable or be able to use a roller with no handles. But this simple Muso wooden roller is a dream. Very light and sturdy! And very easy to use. I will never go back to a heavy marble roller again.Thank you Muso for saving my neck. Literally! LolJ.M.III

Worth the investment
Great traditional product works well

Very nice. Better than a ball-bearing rolling pin.
Having seen my mother use a ball-bearing version rolling pin growing up, and having only ever seen those used by others, and myself a few times, I was pretty hesitant to try this French rolling pin. I can say that I think it is clearly better. You simply have better control over the ball-bearing version. You can finesse this one better, regulating the downward pressure and forward-backward motion better than the ball-bearing.The stain and smooth finish of this French rolling pin are quite good, but it did have some minor imperfections on it. Still completely usable and a recommended product; just not 5-star worthy, which would mean it's perfect and flawless.

Perfecto
Perfecto, lo que estaba buscando, mucho mejor que los que tienen como las orejas en los extremos, es mucho mas fácil usarlo así.

What's not to like? It's a great rolling pin!
I've been working with doughs for 30 years. My primary focus is pizza dough, which I stretch by hand, but for things like pastry dough, pies, and the reason I bought this, tortillas, this Muso beech rolling pin can hardly be faulted for anything. It's just the ideal tool for the job.At just under 16 inches, it's enough to cover any size dough a person is likely to make, even if you decide you want to make a large pizza. Having never tried this shape before, I got the dowel-shaped one instead of the French-style, and it's ideal for my use. The kind with handles on the sides that the rolling pin rotates around are absolutely the worst, and while the tapered French style is good and useful for certain applications, the even, dowel-shaped version that I got has literlly been the best rolling pin I've ever used.Since getting it, I've washed it numerous times (with ease), and it still seems brand new. It's not cracking or wearing out. So what else is there to say? It's a great tool for the kitchen and it's very reasonably priced. If you need a rolling pin, go for it.
