I admit to hoping to use it for an off label purpose- slicing horizontally between layers of foam for filling storage cases. I misinterpreted- the sharp edge is not horizontal when the handle is vertical, but that’s not their fault. The tool is very well made and I’ve kept it for similar uses

Stays sharp and does a great job on diamond willow. I have two and they get used more than any other tool when making walking sticks.

I bought this mini draw shave thinking I could use it down in the bottom of a deep bowl I'm carving. The blade end of the handle is bent about 20 degrees - I wanted more like 90. I put the handle in a vise and tried to bend it with pliers. The handle snapped right off with little force. The steel is about 3mm thick. If I were going to try this again, I'd heat the metal with a torch before trying to bend it. Obviously this tool isn't designed for what I wanted it to do.

Very nice little draw knife for smaller details. It is balanced well and draws straight even in otherwise awkward places.
