Mower Discharge Shield - #ACS6000UBLS

Great item overall. Easy to install, universal fit. Only issue is grass blowing at me when chute is open. I will be installing a rubber flap. About 40 minute installation. Instructions aren’t the best so I looked up a video. Great addition to my mower.

It was easy to install. Works well.Installed on a 2023 Scag V -ride .

I have a ferris isx800. It says it fits but there is a small gap at the back of the chute. I later found out there's a supporting part for that but it costs another $60. So just be aware it isn't ideal on all mowers. But other than that, works great.

I would not recommend this. I debated over this and other alternatives on the market and I wish I would have spent the little extra on something else. I will elaborate on why I feel this way.1. Poor instructionsFor starters the instructions are rather poor. I was able to find a decent instruction video on YouTube that helped.2. Poor designWhen attaching the spring. It rubs up against the base of the handle causing unneeded tension when trying to open or close. If this is the result of me installing improperly, see the first issue on poor instructions.3. Missing boltsI was missing three bolts that attach the base to the lawn mower. I had to go out to the local hardware store in order to finish my install.4A. Didn't fit out of boxI reached out before purchasing to make sure I was purchasing the correct item for my mower. I was told this is the correct one. When I attempted to install it did not fit out of the box. I had to do some fabrication in order to mount it to my mower in a presentable way.4B. Adjustments that were made for a Gravely ZT-XL-52There is a bar on the top of the deck that gets in the way of the base plate. I initially used the included spacers, and placed the base above this bar. While it works, it creates a gab that allows clippings and dust to come back up into the mowers face when using with the chute open. It also looks bad on the mower. I prefer it to look like it was made for my mower and not slapped on with multiple spacers and bolts.This led me to want to fabricate the base plate to sit flush with the top of the mower deck. This can easily be achieved with some simple measurements and a grinder. However, if you do this the chute block plate will be too tall. I called customer service and they said they would send me a new shorter plate to accommodate. (they never sent it).So after three weeks waiting for a new plate to arrive, I decided to cut the provided plate and make it shorter. Since I didn't want to make the cut in the middle of a row of circle vents, I created a small spacer with a piece of plastic cut to the same shape as the base to allow me to raise the base slightly enough to allow me to cut the chute plate in between two rows of vents.The spring still hits the base plate where the handle attaches. I plan on replacing the bolt that holds the spring in place with a longer bolt. This should allow the spring to clear that portion of the base.5. Customer serviceWhen I called about the issue, they were nice on the phone and told me they would ship out the pieces I would need. However, after weeks of waiting, they never came.

This unit works great for the most part. However it’s pretty bulky and sticks out instead of flipping up. While doing so you get quite a bit of blow back from grass clippings when opening.

My mulch kit was pretty beat up, so I tried this and very glad I did! Now instead of removing the deck and installing everything including replacing blades - I just flip to gate down.Of course it should always be down, but if you are in well open space you have the option to flip it up. This solution preformed pretty much as well as the mulch kit.

Have to drill some holes otherwise easy to put on.

Instructions are a little hard to follow, but once figured out goes on easy. Installed this on a 52” XMark, pictured, works great
