But my actually disciplined friends swear by it, so here’s the honest scoop. Why It’s Great (For People Who Try): Thick & cushy – At 10mm, it’s comfy for knees and joints (tested during my 3-day yoga phase) Non-slip grip – Friends say it stays put during intense flows (I wouldn’t know) Easy to carry – The strap makes it portable… if you ever leave the house Purple looks nice – At least it’s pretty rolled up in my closet Why I’m Not Using It:My "wellness routine" consists of walking to the fridge 2/5 inch thickness is wasted on my napping habits Final Thoughts:If you’re actually into yoga, fitness, or even just consistent stretching, this mat is a solid pick. I bought this for a table that I purchased to do my physical therapy exercise exercises on. It was exactly what I needed. It is extra thick and very durable. It wouldn’t be my choice for a yoga mat to carry around, but that’s not what I bought it for. I just use it to top off the table. Otherwise, if I was carrying it around the carrying straps seems very cumbersome to take off and on. Rolling it up, it is quite a bit bigger than a normal than yoga mat of course and you would need something to keep it together, I believe.

This is a replacement for the Gaiam mat my puppies chewed up. It showed up quickly as promised. It is 10mm thick, which is great for me as I have a knee that needs replacement, and has allowed me to continue my yoga for almost a year since the knee diagnosis. You may want something a little thinner for balance, I just step off the mat for balance exercises. It is easy to clean, and I love that they still offered my color! The chewed up mat is being re-purposed as kneeling mats for the garden!

The material is very comfortable, maybe too comfortable. I do have some difficulty with my hand successfully gripping while I perform a downward dog positon, but with adjustments it's doable. I also enjoy the extra space it provides during wide hip positions. Great for at home use, not really for travelling due to its large size. Still recommend!

It is a great mat. It has velcro handles, a little awkward to put on, but does the job to carry it if you want. The mat itself is super cushy so that the GenX-er can do yoga without cramping up on the hard floor (IKYK). I would recommend a yoga mat towel if you do HOT yoga because yoga mats become slip and slides during practice. Regular yoga this would work just fine. The color is pretty and I would recommend this mat.

This Yoga mat is a nice thick material which I appreciated. The description is definitely accurate and is on the longer side which I liked. I also like the handy carry strap that is velcro and when you roll it up it is really easy to use

So comfy!I bought a green one for my teen to use when I noticed him trying to work out on his bare bedroom floor… and then I got jealous of how thick his was so I ordered another one for myself too :)I do various types of yoga sometimes and my wrists get sore at times, so this is nice for lighter days. I’m not sure how well it works with sweaty yoga and it’s probably way too thick to support any complex poses, but it is more comfy for stretching and gentle floor work.
