I needed to install shelves into a van/truck. The framing is on the inside has hallow framing bars just for this purpose but how does one secure the bolts into the hallow framing. I was told Rivet Nuts but all the rivet nuts I found were not going to work, until I found these. Looking at the pictures I determined that these rivets will work so ordered them.And they worked perfectly as expected. Think of these as the push in drywall anchors types but are for metal.Once install through a pilot hole in the metal frame, you attach whatever you want to secure to the truck, in my case shelving brackets that will hold the shelve boxes in place. Insert the appropriate size bolt and tighten. The Nut will collapse on the opposite side of the metal frame and hold the bolt and shelf in place. And if I need to remove the bolt and shelve, the rivet nut will stay in place to be used again in the future as needed.

use the correct drill for the hole. make sure it goes in straight or it may not be secure and become loose
