Will the pencil charge while the case is closed?

I wish I would have read this before I bought this damn case. No, it will NOT charge the pencil either in the holster nor on the right side, even though the iPad recognizes it. A bit infuriating, but at least its an easy case to remove. Not sure how this got such good reviews considering you can't charge the pencil with the case attached - and the pencil attaches to the right of the ipad to charge instead of the left, which is where the case's pencil holster lives.... Soooooo...... #design? #Usability? Well, at least it keeps my ipad safe.

can i charge my pencil with the case on?

You cannot charge Pencil 2 while it in the holder because the charging is on the opposite side! HOWEVER. You CAN remove the pencil and place it on the OPPOSITE edge of the holder to charge the pencil, but it is no longer secured. Terrible design and the manufacturer's statement that it charges the pencil is technically correct, but misleading to the point of outright lying.

Does this case cover up tge finger print scanner?

No, it doesn't. It's a little raised around it, but the scanner still works.

Can anyone verify if these have the auto wake/sleep function?

Yes it has the auto wake and sleep function.
