Matching pedestal mat ?

I don't know if a pedestal mat is available separately, I only bought the bath mat. I dan attest to the quality of the bath mat it us soft and washes well

I have had 2 lots of thick bath mats and have never experienced this happening do you wash them on a regular basis? They are machine washable. Sorry I cannot answer your query

Can you use this mat inside the shower?

I wouldn't advise it. It's got a thick pile and it would get very heavy with the water. A rubber bath/shower mat with suction cups on the back would be better.
