A new feature is the spray attachment, which can be used to apply water-soluble pesticides or fertilizers in common household concentrations to plants simply by the press of a button. Depending on the settings, the nozzle delivers a directed spray jet through to a fine spray mist. The transparent tank can hold one litre. The Isio sprays for up to 40 minutes per battery charge, which corresponds to about eight full tanks. The tool also sits comfortably in the hand at all times due to its balanced centre of gravity.Tried-and-tested features have been kept, such as the Anti-Blocking System which enables the blade to reliably and powerfully cut even thicker branches or dense tufts of grass, or the four-phase charge level indicator which displays the available energy in four stages from 100 to 35 percent, 35 to 15 percent, 15 to 5 percent and 5 percent to zero by means of two colours and continuous light or flashing light. Improved telescopic handleAs with the Isio, the telescopic handle has also been enhanced: in addition to the grass shear, the shrub shear can now also be used with it. A high level of comfort during work with the extension is ensured by the handle's rotating head: it can be turned 90 degrees to the right or 90 degrees to the left. This enables shrubs to be conveniently cut sideways without the user having to twist their hand. The handle's head can also be tilted in three stages, which makes overhead work in particular easier. The telescopic handle has continuously variable adjustment of maximum 25 centimetres.

can I cut rank grass whilst standing up?

I have the cutter but did not purchase an optional handle extension. I do not think it will be possible to remain standing without it. I usually cut grass in a kneeling position with a cup of tea and biscuit to hand.

can this be used to trim around the perimeter of the garden ?? and safe to use near gravel boards???

Yes, and, with care, close to gravel boards. I used it recently to cut a stretch of grass in the front of our house approx. 18" wide and 15 ' long which was quite thick and long. It worked brilliantly. Changing the blade - very easy to do - it makes trimming the new growth on hedges a 'doddle'. P.C.

Is the battery replaceable when it eventually runs out or do you have to replace the whole thing

No, there is no way to replace the battery. It should last for a few years before it finally expires, depending how often it is charged.
