Nice shoe but sizing is way off!
The shoe itself is fine, but good luck getting it in your size on your first order. In every shoe brand on the planet I wear a size 12 regular width. Last time I purchased a pair of Bostonians was at a mall so when the size 12’s there didn’t fit I was able to try other sizes and found that the size 11 regular width were my size. So naturally when I ordered this pair or Bostonians from amazon I ordered the 11’s. When they arrived they were the most narrow shoe I had ever tried on! I sent them back in exchange for the size 11 WIDE and discovered they were much too long! I again exchanged them for the size 10.5 WIDE and finally found my size. The shoes look and feel great but come on Bostonian, get your sizing right! What a nightmare!

Great Everyday Shoe
If you're looking for a shoe that says I'm a high roller and I've got plenty of money, I would not recommend this shoe. If you're like me and like to wear a decent formal shoe that can go through whatever life throws at you, this is a good option. I'll wear this everyday to the office, which means it will occasionally make its way to the oil field in dirt and mud. A quick rinse on the outside and I'm back to the office. For those actually interested in the condition of the shoe:1) Owned this shoe for 3+ months2) Used pretty much everyday3) Sole is still in great shape (I've had shoes where this goes out very fast)4) Fabric on inside still looks new5) Still haven't needed to polish it, but it could probably use a touch up soon

Not the same as Bostonian shoes I have purchased in-store...wish I would have returned them.
I have purchased this style of Bostonian shoes three other times before and they have fit great. Takes a little bit of time to break in, but they are durable, long-lasting, and comfortable for a dress shoe. I decided to buy them on Amazon to save a little money instead of the store since I felt confident that they would fit well. Unfortunately, as soon as I purchased them I knew I should have returned them. I figured they were just new and had to be broken in. The right toe box felt tighter. I have had these shoes for 4 months now and wear them everyday for work. The top shoe in the picture is the left shoe and the bottom shoe is the right. You can see the differences in the stitching that create a smaller toe box in the right shoe. It may not look like a lot, but it feels noticeably tighter. And now having worn them for months, I am starting to feel the effects. I'm starting to develop a Morton's Neuroma because the toe box on the right shoe is smaller than the left.I'm sure not every one of these shoes are like this, but the quality does seem inferior from other Bostonian shoes of the same style I have purchased in the store. I am having to replace these shoes sooner than I expected because of the poorer quality.

Buy These If You Enjoy Having Your Foot in a Clamp for 8 hours a Day
Quality pair of shoes.First off, these would have been a 5 star shoe if not for the sizing. I wear a 9.5 and these 9.5s are tight, but not in the toes. It’s not a length problem. My toes fit perfect. The problem is they’re tight at the top of the foot. The opening of the shoe isn’t quite big enough, which makes it feel like the top of the shoe is squeezing my foot, and also makes them very hard to slip on. I usually use insoles, but that’s going to be impossible with these, there’s just not enough height available. Ordinarily the fix would be to size up to a 10. The problem is my feet fit in these perfectly as far as the actual length of my foot. A 10 would be much too big. I’m hoping they’ll loosen up with some wear. If so, I’ll update the review.Otherwise, they’re great shoes. Quality seems top notch. The design is sleek and no frills. Just a nice classy shoe.If not for the sizing, they would be an easy 5 stars.***UPDATE***I made it 3 days. 3 days. These shoes are terrible. Absolutely terrible. They will be going back immediately. Boy should I have waited to review these. I wrote my initial review on a Monday, started actually wearing them the next day on Tuesday, and it is now Thursday, and they will not be going on my feet again.I understand new shoes, and especially dress shoes, can be stiff the first couple wears and be uncomfortable. After 3 entire days these are downright unbearable. Squeezing my feet to the point of developing sores on the top of my right foot. Left pinky toe feels like something has been trying to rip it off. I took these off to drive every day that I wore them, simply because I couldn’t bear to have them on my feet any longer. And to top it all off? They are UNBEARABLY hot and sweaty. Not breathable whatsoever. My previous 3 similar pairs from a different brand were excellent. These are hot, steamy, garbage. Will be sending them back for a refund immediately.I contemplated updating this review negatively. The shoes seem to have decent ratings, so I understand maybe I’m the outlier here. But at the end of the day, a review is to document and share PERSONAL experience. And my personal experience has been dreadful. The sizing is just flat out off. The length and toe room is perfect for a 9.5. But apparently only for people who have a 9.5 length foot, but one that’s only an inch tall? A 10 would simply be too long. Downgrading them from a 4 star to a 1 star. 1 star simply because they provided a barrier of material between my feet and the floor. Terrible experience. This company should be paying me for the inconvenience of suffering through 3 days of work in these abominations.

A great deal for great shoes
I used to have a pair of Bostonians that I wore down completely. I wore them for years until the soles completely wore off and the shoes came apart; it took about four years of daily wear. I was being cheap for years though and bought cheap shoes that wouldn't last, and weren't nearly as comfortable.I got a really good deal on these shoes and they are fantastic! They are so comfortable, have some flex to them, cushioned insoles that are great and they look great. I definitely recommend getting a pair if you're thinking about it.

size 13W in Canada is smaller than these 13W ones from the States
My husband absolutely loved these shoes. They were comfortable when he tried them on today for the first time. They were definitely too large. He is 81 and has always ordered a 13W in Canada. He wanted to put a foam insert in but I said no we will get you a size 12W. The quality in these shoes are remarkable. He has had shoes that cost more but has never seen as good a shoe as this. Looking forward to the new ones coming. Packed wonderfully.

Narrow and Poorly Made
The old Bostonians had some weight to them and the heel was solid rubber. This one is extremely narrow and the weight is about the tenth of how they used to make them. Not recommended for eight hour shifts because of the narrowness.

Fit is a little odd
I usually wear a size 9 to accommodate by slightly bigger left foot. This time i decided to get an exact size 8.5 since i ordered an extra wide. I figured the worst is that the left shoe would be just a little tighter than normal but now my left foot fits just fine but surprisingly the right shoe feels too lose. Weird sizing.Shoe is of decent quality although i wish the insole could be a little better for what i paid for.
