Durability is OFF THE CHARTS!!
My son played this with his toy kitchen, but it soon ended up outside in his water table. This toy has been dunked and saturated with water several times and STILL continues to work like new. The battery compartment even got jostled open before it was dunked once...but it kept working after I dried it out. I was astounded that it worked after it was wet the first time, but after the third, there are no words. Hands down-a must have for a play kitchen. My son loves to play with it every where!!!

My son loves this mixer!
I purchased this mixer for my almost three year old son who loves to cook and bake with me. I originally was going to purchase another brand of mixer, but this one had much better ratings (and conveniently, was also a third of the price!), so I went with this one. My son has been abusing this mixer for a month now, and it is still perfect. We have used to to mix up chocolate milk. He has dropped it and thrown it with no wear and tear. I also love that this is a stand mixer/hand mixer in one. My son loves that feature...he can be sure to use the right tool for the job no matter what we are baking. I only wish it was a more gender neutral color. The hand mixer part looks red in the picture, but it is definitely more pink, and it came in a pink and purple box.

It keeps my 4 year old mommy in training out of my stuff!!
Mini-me, after turning 4, convinced herself she needed to borrow all of Mommy's kitchen stuff- especially my stand mixer. Obviously, this is not an option. The Play @ Home Mixer is compact, only measuring MAYBE 8" tall- small, but still tons of fun. You can put in on automatic (turn on and it keeps going), self (only on while button is pushed) or off. The mixer can be used as a stand or hand mixer. The bowl is perhaps 1-1/2c. This is fantastic for pretend play. This is a great value for the money!

Great toy
My kid is obsessed with my kitchenaid stand mixer. I bought him This to try to deter him from throwing my hand up at my mixer every chance he gets to turn it on. Hee really likes this. I put flour in the bowl but it doesn't spin if there's too much in there, I guess it's a safety thing which is good. I put some shredded paper next. He takes it to bed too. You can remove the mixer from the stand to make it like a beater.

Product sucks...
I honestly am not sure why there are so many good reviews. The item looked like it was previously used and in horrible condition upon receipt. Packaging was all dented and scratches and scuffs all over the toy. I just opened the package, as it is an Easter gift, and the mixer doesn't work and it had used batteries from what I can only assume the previous idiot who bought this. Stick to Learning resources.

Great little toy
My 2 year old loves anything that spins...fans, mixers, electric toothbrushes, etc. This has been the perfect toy and he hasn't put it down. He Even sleeps with it. The only thing I don't like is the motor noise when the mixer is on, but there's really no way to have a silent battery powered toy, so I can't complain too much. He likes taking the hand mixer on and off the stand, and putting water in the bowl to "mix soup." I recommend it.

Great buy!
Bought this for Christmas 2012 and it's still going strong one year later (haven't even had to replace the batteries yet!). 3 year old boy loved it and 5 year old sister also enjoyed playing with it. Easy for little ones to take the beaters off and put them back on themselves. Spins great, but no worries that they will hurt themselves. Also can double as a pretend back massager!

Great accessory to play kitchen
Our now 3 year old daughter LOVES to play in her kitchen. What she loves even more is helping me in mine. I am a huge fan of my KitchenAid and she is my regular assistant. She received this as a birthday present and was so excited with it. She immediately added it to her kitchen and started "making dinner" for us. The product itself is not wonderfully made, the bowl is rather cheap and the "beaters" are on the slim side, but all and all, for the price, it's a great purchase.
