BlackBerry Extra Battery Charger Bundle for BlackBerry Q10

While the battery life on the Q10 is absolutely amazing, it's always a good idea to have a spare handy. This charging bundle makes it incredibly easy to manage your BlackBerry's power.It may not be completely clear on how this works from the pictures and description, so I'll breifly summarize.Rather than plugging a microUSB cable directly to your phone from a power adapter, you plug this charging bundle to the microUSB port on your phone. It's small enough that it fits nicely against the back of the phone, and very easy to use even with one hand while connected.What happens is, the battery inside the charger bundle...charges the battery inside the phone.The charger bundle also has a microUSB input where you can charge the battery inside of it as well. So ideally, what you'd do is something like this.Power Source [Wall Socket] ---> Charger Bundle ---> PhoneWhen both the phone battery and the battery in the charger bundle are fully charged, you'd obviously disconnect the charger bundle and use the phone as normal. Keep it close though, because here's the beauty; In the middle of the day when your phone battery runs out, rather than having to tether it to a wall socket to charge, or deal with removing and replacing the battery with the fresh one, you simply take the charger bundle and plug it into the phone, allowing the battery inside the bundle to charge and power the battery inside the phone. All while you're still out and about and moving around.I always keep this charged at night and plug my phone into it, so in the morning, I leave with fully charged batteries that were charged at the same time.

Great product ONCE I figured it out! Rather that give a dissertation I'll just state why I like it!* It contains a FULL SIZED second battery that can be left IN this charger OR put into the phone.* BOTH the phone and this charger can be charged at the same time so one NEVER runs out of battery power.* It's compact and fits nicely within a wallet case along with your phone if you opt for a wallet case.* It will NOT, can NOT overcharge your Q10 and damage it (as SO MANY chargers CAN and do to various phones all the time).It's a great add on for you phone! It definitely beats any other "portable charger" out there for the Q10 BECAUSE it actually IS a second battery on board! Cool thinking, Blackberry!

Have a Q10 and the charging pins are out of whack. So could only charge it at weird angles or pushing up the cable. Got this extra battery charger bundle primarily for the extra battery, knowing that at least I would have one charged battery available. Well, I got it, plugged it into the wall charger and then into my Q10. And both the extra battery and the Q10 charge. So now I can keep my Q10 for a bit longer before I get the KeyOne. And I have two charged batteries for it, This is a great way to go if you have an older Q10 that is having trouble charging.

This product does not come with a charging cord, and it does not properly fit with my existing BlackBerry charging cord. As a result, I am forced to continually contort the device and cord until the charging light comes on. Even when it comes on it may take hours to charge (if at all).

Just having a spare battery handy can be very good when you are traveling or otherwise in a setting where recharging the phone is not an option and the fact that this battery is charged separately in its own charger is a real convenience- but the reason I didn't give this thing higher marks it the little side plug on this charger - there is a little plug on a wire attached to the side of this charger which can be pulled out and plugged into the phone at the normal charge port which gives you quick power if needed without having to open the phone and replacing the battery.....the problem I find with it is the arrangement- the orientation of the plug is opposite so the spare isn't able to just be held against the back of the phone and the wire just offset into the phones charge receptacle, instead it has to be held out of alignment from the back and is just not that convenient when trying to talk while using it....of course that would only really be necessary if you were making an urgent call where turning the phone off and changing the battery wasn't an option.....or when you have an after market cover which is a pain to remove anyway. But then, in an emergency, that lack of ergonomics probably will be the least thing on your mind....I suppose better to have than not.

I own two of these and rotate several batteries to keep my BB Q10 charged as the USB port is damaged on the phone; helpful to me to keep my phone going while Verizon is deciding whether to offer another BB phone; I know-- I am a hardcore BB fan girl...I ordered two more of these last week as one of mine died (the usual port problems); both work just fine--I am still keeping my BBQ10 going and waiting for Verizon to offer a decent and possibly less expensive smartphone without all the useless (for me) garbage...when these chargers are not available anymore--or when my bbq10 dies--I will give up my lonely quest....:) :) :)....

This is a fantastic product! I was so concerned about the battery performance on the new Q10 that I thought it would be worth it to get the charger with the battery. The first good news was that the Q10 has a pretty decent talk time and it easily lasts me through the day, even when I have had some fairly extensive phone calls. This device gives me the option of always having a charged battery ready whenever I need it. It is a very nifty size and has been working very well. Am so glad I got it
