Will this work with racks with a door?

I installed this unit for cable management on A20U wall mounted rack.

Just wondering I don't want to screw it into my desk for cable management would super glue or strong Velcro hold it up?

I used 3M Command Strips and they worked great. HOWEVER, do not use the ones that are two pieces w/ velcro inbetween them (for hanging frames); make sure to use the "replacement" strips that are one piece and have adhesive on both sides. They hold much, much better for this use. I got two of these racks and love them for my under-desk cable management!

Will this work with small racks with a door like 12U?

Yes, you can use this in an enclosure. The panel is just under 2". You may need to move the front two mounting bars back a slot, but 2" is needed from the door for your patch cables.

If this was used for wall-mount storage, what size is the gap between the tongs? I would use it for microphone/instrument and other cables (3/8”) min

Not sure the exact size of the slots but a few mics cables would fit nicely in each slot. I have 48 cat6 patch cables in mine.
