i always wanted this blade when i first saw it on amazon , but at 70 it was too much... So for my birthday i was able to get it at $54.45 and i cannot be any happier. I absolutely love my new bakuzan! It got here in 3 days before the estimated delivery date. It arrived in two boxes with a protection plastic cover and held in place in between three styrofoam holders. I was so exited to get it , when the mail lady came down my drive way i nearly ran towards her to get it. It will do PERFECTLY for my upcoming satsuki kiryuin cosplay. I did notice that the purple cord that is wrapped around the white sheath did lead a little miscolouration from the purple dye used on the cord. but it is covered very well with the precise neatness that was put into making it. Lady satsuki's bakuzan is perfect for any cosplayer or fan collector of the anime kill la kill. It looks exactly like the picture. The blade is not extremely sharp but it will nick things if not handled correctly. I accidentally hit the blade against the sheath and it left a nice little dent but nothing to drastic. I really dont think that the seller would ship out a broken item, it is very possible that the postage service was very very poor. 10 out of 10 I would definately recommend bakuzan to any one who isnt willing to dish out 100-200 for one that looks like one from the anime, this one is very distinct and just as elegant as satsuki. But please do be careful when opening and closing the sheath. it can become loose or you may have to keep it closed with clear rubber bands when not in usage. And also make sure you clean and lubricate the blade and sheath. Inside the sheath there is some type of thick substance that may be a thick petroleum of some sort but i do not like how it stuck to my blade. I cleaned the blade and dropped a few drops of vegetable oil down the sheath to maintain it from rusting. For 54 dollars this katana is a great and wonderful steal.

The hilt and scabbard look great. Unfortunately, the blade is much shorter than the one in the show, so you can't recreate the hands-on top of the sword pose. The blade does look very good and the sword is weighted well, however mine arrived dirty.

Aesthetically pleasing sword — looks nearly identical to its animated form from afar. Great for cosplay or all day use due to light weight (only 4 lbs). However. Some parts were poorly crafted. The metal end pieces on the sheath and handle are not secured properly and you can see past, dried applications of hot glue. The purple lace leaves purple imprints on the sheath which, in itself, is made of sturdy material. The white lace on the handle provides enough traction, and the metal hilt is satisfying to hear while in use. All in all, a wonderful product to use, especially if you want to look intimidating in your own room.

Oh my goodness, this sword is beautiful and definitely well made for a cosplay sword! The blade isn't as long as you think it might be but that's perfectly fine I love it regardless. The sheath is smooth and elegant just like Satsuki is on the outside and the same on the inside as well. And the shipping was pretty quick too! This is definitely worth the investment if you're going to cosplay as Satsuki Kiryuin or just a passing anime sword collector. Will most likely buy from this seller again if need be for more anime cosplay weapons!

I was very skeptical about buying this katana as you can never be sure of quality on an internet purchase but I loved Kill la Kill and Satsuki is my favorite character so I decided to go out on a limb and buy it. I just got (faster than expected) and it is great quality! It's got super solid construction, no loose pieces or attachments, the handle is wrapped well, the metal bits fit perfectly, and the blade is very sharp and well-oiled. I highly recommend this product, great quality and a must have for any true fans of Satsuki's absolute power.

Eh. It's alright. My main problem is with the sheath. The weird white stuff rubs off on it a lot, and the piece with the two holes is coming off. Overall, the blade is good for display, but either keep it in the sheath, or keep it out.

Very disappointed when I got this. I was so happy when it was finally for sale on Amazon but when I got it it had a nearly 9 inch crack on the sheath.. The blade looks glued into the hilt and the pegs aren't alined properly so if you go to re sheath it BE VERY CAREFUL OR YOU COULD BREAK A PEG OFF!!! I have provided some pictures to show the crack. I can buy cheaper swords from BudK.com and get something a little more worth while. Again I am very disappointed I'd give this a half star rating if I could.

Am not disappointed! The blade isn't crooked or loose or anything! The cloth on the blade is a little too dark but nothing I'd take a star for, it's a minor detail at best and easily replaceable. The shipping was incredibly fast, it took 29 hours to get to me in total! It's super great especially for the price! Can't be beat! 10/10
