are they comfortable for regular sized people and easy to assemble?

They are not extremely large chairs, I'd say closer to medium sized. I'm a 6', 250lb man and it's comfortable for me. The chairs are very easy to assemble. It will take about 10-15 minutes each.

How much weight will these chairs support?

I am 215 pounds and working on window curtains putting them up, the chair held me just fine. This was a gift to my daughter i gave last Christmas and we had no problems with the chairs. Just make sure when you assemble it that it is done correctly because it is possible that if you assemble it wrong the chair can wobble a bit. just follow the instructions provided and you should be ok.

I am putting the cushion on this chair but the front two holes arent sunk deep enough for the short screws i do something wrong?

The cushions sometimes don't stay screwed in..may need longer screws, but be careful not to get them too long or it will go all the way through the cushion. These chairs are really NOT comfortable at all, you may need to get a detachable chair cushion for them, The Chairs are Beautiful, and Sturdy, just not comfortable.
