Fun but might not be long term
I used it for about 2weeks now and I have been using it to commute to school and back home. I’m about .4 miles from school.Like :Like having the scooter very convenient and doesn’t take up that much space when I need to ride.Dislikes:Dies on the 3rd bar ( I know they said it goes down to two then die but mines stop at 3)Also the switch to make the scooter go is plastic and can break off (mines broke off when I stopped to hard and my thumb pushed down ).Recharging the scooter is a little hard. You can tell when it’s done when a light on the charger turns green but I noticed my just turns green if u just. Wiggle the cord. So I check the scooter every time before I get on to make sure it has all 5 bars (fully charged). Also there is this front piece that keeps popping out(right by the front wheel ) which is really annoying. But over I like it for a play toy if u want to use it for you might want to get something a little more Durable.

Fun! At a great price too!
7-9-18 edit:Rode probably a dozen or so miles on it, noticed that the handlebars have aligned properly, so maybe it just took some breaking in? Still, leaving the review at 4 stars because of a new “quirk” I noticed: the scooter is incredibly loud. The motor itself is very quiet, actually, but the rattle of the metal causes the scooter to make loud clanking noises as it goes over any bump. People will turn heads from half a mile down the street if you’re going full throttle on bumpy roads. It can be that loud. On smooth ground, it’s very quiet however. So, keep that in mind if you live in a bumpy area like I do! But overall, loving the scooter and wish I could give it 4.5 stars if Amazon allowed half star reviews!—Original review below—With only one other review (at the time of writing this review), I took a shot in the dark and decided to try this thing out. In short, it's great fun at a price that can't be beat. This was my first electric scooter and everything works like a charm and as advertised. I did some research and found that MegaWheels has been making hoverboards for some time now, so entering the electric scooter business seemed to make sense, and so I was not too worried in choosing a company that had built some reputation behind it.As for the scooter itself, it feels durable, with what feels to be strong metal components and decent bearings. One small gripe I have is with the manual rear brake, which appears to be made of some sort of plastic. I'm afraid to use it out of fear it might break, but I'm sure it would work just fine in concept.I'm 150 lbs and this thing rides great. I even went on it with my 100 lb girlfriend (dangerous, don't recommend), and it managed to move with help from a few pushes. Taking one star off because the handle bars don't align quite right, but it might just be my unit. Still, not a deal breaker and still very comfortable to ride. Set up was a breeze, just had to screw in the two handle bars. The charge seems to hold, but I have no doubt it will decline over time, as most rechargeable batteries do.One thing I noticed is there is considerable resistance in rolling when not engaging the throttle, so using this as a regular kick scooter may be difficult. However, if you combine pushing and the throttle you can achieve some pretty ludicrous speeds. The solid rubber tires feel high quality and durable, but keep in mind it may sacrifice some comfort, especially when going over bumps and cracks.Don't expect this thing to take you up a mountain either, the best it can do is light hills. But on smooth flat ground it rides like a dream. So far I'm happy with the scooter, it makes me feel like a kid again! I will be using this for just riding around, getting to the grocery store, beating city traffic, etc. Versatile little vehicle! Will update if thoughts change.

The scooter stopped working after about 8-10 months. Still waiting for response from MegaWheels
Bought this scooter to travel short distance from home to train station and back. Never used it for more than 5 miles at a time. Even then after 8-10 months the scooter is not functional. Charge shows full, but runs for about 30 secs and stops. After turning it off and on again it runs for about 30 secs and stops. Because of this it is unused and left in the garage. Recently sent a message to MegaWheels requesting tips to troubleshoot and any suggestions for repair. Have not heard back yet.... I hope they come back with an answer so I can make it usable again.

Lightweight, portable scooter
The first day I used this the plastic accelerator broke off. I notified the seller and they responded quickly, offering to send me a replacement piece. In the end I decided to just return the scooter, which was quick and painless. Great customer service. The reason I returned it was because of the speed and battery life. Keep in mind this does everything it’s advertised to do. For the price point, I think you’ll get tremendous value for your money. I just decided I wanted something bigger, faster.Up until this purchase, my only experience with electric scooters were the Bird and Lime rentals. Compared to those, this seems slightly slower and less powerful on inclines. However if you don’t need massive range, and you’re going to be driving on mostly flat surfaces, this is plenty fast enough. After playing around on it, I decided to upgrade to the Q1 Hummer by QIEWA. This scooter goes twice as fast (32mph), with a whopping 60 mile range. It’s pretty much the most powerful scooter on the market. The downside is that it’s $1400 and much heavier. (65lbs)If you just want a scooter for your last mile, and you value portability and a lightweight design, buy this scooter. At $229 its a steal. However if you’re an adrenaline junkie like me, I would reconsider and buy a faster, more powerful scooter. Keep in mind it will cost you some serious dough, and it will be bigger and heavier to accommodate the larger battery and motor.Bottom line: If you don’t require massive distance and dangerous speeds, buy this scooter. If you plan to carry your scooter a lot, definitely buy this scooter. Very portable and lightweight.

Charger exploded at my apartment
Loved having a scooter, the thing does what its supposed to do, but sort of feels like it is about to fall apart. One night my scooter was charging, and my roommate and i were sitting outside when we heard a decently loud boom. We thought it was the stove, and were afraid to come inside. When we finally did we saw that my scooter charger had exploded, and it smelled strongly of burnt plastic (or fried electronic smell??). The motherboard was still intact but the top of the charger and small plastic pieces had blown off. Megawheels sent me a new scooter, but I am still paranoid that it could be a fire hazard.
