Weleda Calendula Baby Starter Kit

I was excited to try this pack of Weleda products for my soon to arrive baby. I thought I would use the product once to decide if I wanted to purchase a large size and then keep the small one in the diaper bag. This is still the plan, but just be forewarned, the size of the products is SO TINY. There is maybe two to three "servings" out of each container. They are not nearly as large as the travel size you can find in stores for things like shampoo or lotion. The baby cream tube is the size of the toothpaste tube you get from an airline when they lose your bags, about the size and width of my pinky. I have not tried the products yet, though I am usually very happy with Weleda. I just was surprised at how tiny the sizes were.

The packaging on this was all torn and obviously had been opened when I received it. There was no safety seal on two of the products. Must have been a returned item or something. Very unhappy about this- I have used this stuff before and it is not that I don't like their product but I would never have purchased something if I knew it had been compromised and potentially filled with some other product.

I had high expectations for this product after reading the reviews. I was really excited about using an all natural product so I decided to buy this sampler to see what works for my little one. I LOVE their body wash/shampoo combo! It smells great and leaves my baby's hair feelings soft. The diaper rash cream also seemed like a good product. I wasn't impressed with the face cream and body cream; the texture is really oily and you have to keep on rubbing it into your baby's skin for it to be absorbed. Not great if you have a baby who sticks their hand in their mouth all the time. There is also a baby oil sample but I didn't try it. My advice is start with this kit and see what works (and what does't work) with your baby. My kit also included a $2 coupon which I was able to apply in store for the shampoo. So it's a win-win situation :)

I guesa it helped samplw a number of the weleda products to help identify what i like before purchasing a regular size bottle.

It's a German made brand with high quality ingredients + Calendula which is fabulous for regenerating skin(it's very nurturing) and the ethos of the company is very thoughtful. I love the oil for skin care and massage as it absorbs nicely and light scent is fine for baby. The lotion is nice too but has some alcohol content so I say save it for momma and stick with the oil for baby skin. Haven't used soaps yet. Not really into using soap on baby's skin as it breaks down her natural oils, just water for washing for now.

Maybe my expectations were too high. I was hoping this would help with my son's excema. It did not

I love Weleda products for my baby and so bought this for a friend for her baby shower. When it came I had to take it out of it's original packaging because the package had been ripped. It even came from Amazon saying that it was not to be sold as it was because of the rip in the packaging. I would not have minded if it hadn't been a gift. The products and size of the products are wonderful for a baby shower gift or for travel as they allow you to test the product before committing to a large quantity.Weleda baby products are the only ones I buy for my child.

Great way to try an assortment of calendula products for under $12. Liked 5/6 items. Versatile and gentle.
