I have an REI passage 2 and the plastic tip broke on my tent pole. I was able to remove the broken piece, reattach the stretch line to this new end piece, and pop it back in. I tested it and it works great. Strongly recommend it. I'm probably just going to replace all the tip pieces since it came with so many and I just needed one. Reliable and durable. Strongly recommended.

I used these to make my own shelter poles because I need stronger poles that would hold up to the wind. These worked well because I was able to pin them into the pole. The reason for a four star is that the top end could be longer to add to the retention of the shelter tarp.

This item did what it was advertised, and needed, to do. It is not threaded. I used CA glue to ensure it did not immediately separate from the rod. That should work for a while. That is all.

These fit perfectly and were a direct replacement fix for my broken tent pole. No modifications needed.
