Extremely impressed. Good build quality and high light output comparable to tungsten hot light
July 2018 update to review which follows: This model has apparently been discontinued, I'm not sure why. There are some reports of the power supply failing (the power cord brick) but that could be fixed pretty easily by checking the voltage and getting another one somewhere. It could be that the somewhat odd light stand mount has been re-designed, it is the most awkward part of using these but not too difficult to manage (it does fit any standard lighting stand stud). Anyway, I've now bought 5 of these lights "slightly used" here on Amazon and at another online camera store, and still think they are very good, especially at 130 bucks each (shop around). Probably overpriced at full retail of several hundred dollars, which some vendors are still trying to get. As with any new technology competitors are emerging and prices are dropping, but these are not bad for right now.Original review: I just today received one of these as an open box like-new buy, purchased for under 200 bucks. After shopping similar panels, I though this model (which has many positive reviews at certain photography vendor web sites) was worth a try at that low price, and it certainly was. In a couple hours of testing I could not be more impressed with build quality (including an excellent zippered case), functions for dimming, and light output. The built-in barn door/reflectors are also well made and sturdy but fold down neatly. The included 110v power cord (with a small "brick" part way down, similar to laptop computers) plugs into the back and snaps securely into its socket. My use is to replace "hot lights" on a copy stand. The 1980s quartz lights that came with the (Bencher brand) copy stand are so hot they are unpleasant to use. I was able to easily mount the LED panel in place of one of the hot lights using a 1/4-inch bolt and a standard lightstand "stud". Set to 100% output, the panel throws NEARLY the same amount of light of a 300-watt quartz light (they are within 1/3 stop of each other in reflected light metering), and the LEDs are closer to "white" light than tungsten-based bulbs they replace. The light also seems less harsh but that may just be the reduction in heat! (There is only a very slight warmth from the LEDs, no problem to touch it.) I don't have a color meter so I can't say for sure they are true 5600K as the rear touch panel states, but they look white to the eye and I easily adjusted color balance to neutral in my photography software. BTW I have not tested the remote control that was provided as I don't need it for my application. But it looks pretty slick for use when these are up high on a stand. The copy stand is perhaps an unusual use of these panels, but I would recommend them as constant light sources for any similar use, certainly for video and in some cases for still photographers as well. I've now ordered a second panel for the other side of the copy stand, and feel these would be a good buy even at 300 bucks which is the normal retail price (however I was able to get another open-box deal, so shop around). I will update this review if I encounter malfunctions or any other problems but for now, highly recommended!

Expensive light! Does it's job with no complaints here. Can find much cheaper light with the same output as this.
