Have had quite a few of these for snakes, lizards and fish tanks. They are great quality. Keeps the temperature exactly where I need it, when I need it. They can be a little confusing to set up though, but nothing a good YouTube video can’t help with.

We own two temperature-controlled VIVOSUN heating mats that work flawlessly. We also own two large seedling heating mats (that don't have a adjustable thermostats) that we stopped using last year because they got too hot and overheated the plant roots in several seedling flats. While this thermostat only has one outlet, I can regulate the temperature of both mats with a connected plug strip. So far, so good. Seedlings are thriving in our outdoor greenhouse.

Used to regulated the temp of a heat mat in our chick brooder. I tuck the mat into a box on its side to make a little cave and place into a plastic brooder bin. Being able to control the temp in the brooder is important and this does the job very well!

I use for sprouting plants and also to warm compost worm cocoons so they hatch sooner. Can control 2 heat mats at a time if you use a cord with 2 outlets, might possibly control more, but I haven’t tested that yet. I plan to buy 2 more mats to see if it can handle 3-4 mats at a time to save money. Even if it can only handle 2 heat mats it’s worth it.The only down side is that it fluctuates 4-5*F. I’d prefer if it was only 1-2*F. I’m not sure how long this last running 24/7 year round, but so far after a few months it’s working well and my worm cocoons hatch 1-1.5 weeks faster than those not on a heating mat. I use these indoors and our home is heated 69-70*F, heat mats are set to 80*F. If it can last a few years it’ll be worth the investment and if I can handle 3-4 heat mats it’ll be even more so.Also, if you heat mats from another brand this will work with them, no need to buy their brand of mats. I did buy their heat mats since mine only heat 1/2 the length after being in service for over 12 years. The original ones I purchased are no longer available or I would have bought those again because of longevity.Overall a good purchase…so far.

This was the first thermostat I purchased for regulate the warming mats in my greenhouse. It is a great product and will do exactly what you need it to do. Don't use the warming mats without using a thermostat as you will have to constantly check on them to maintain the proper temperature for your plants. I recommend this thermostat as it is priced right and works well.

I bought a Vivosun 48" heat mat last March, 2018,but, I kept on killing seedlings. I bought the VIVOSUN Digital Seedling Heat Mat Thermostat Controller 68-108℉ in July of 2018. When I plugged it in the heat mat was cooking my seedlings at 93*. I set up the thermostat to 80* and it worked fine for the next two weeks, then I stored it for the next season. Fast forward to February 2019, I'm growing over 200 plants for our community garden which contributed 3943# of produce to the food bank last year. I set the thermostat to 80* to grow some early tomatoes and our pepper and egg plants.the mat registered 79.6-good enough. The tomatoes sprouted inless than a week so I took them off. I left peppers and eggplants, within a few days the temperature showed 94* yet the mat was cool. I reprogrammed the thermostat to 80 but still goyt 93* the next morning and the mat was cool. I plugged the mat into the wall and it warmed. I am eyeing my wifes meat thermometer so I can snatch it when she goes ou to check the temperature; it's like washing my seed trays in the top shelf of the dishwasher when she is not home, don't forget to take them out or all hell will break loose!So here I am with lots of seedlings started and a thermostat that only worked for three weeks before quitting! Inguess I will have to order a different brand.These are great products when they work and a must have if you are going to be starting in bulk.I CONTACTED VIVOSUN AND RECEIVED A REPLY AT 6:44 AM! THEY WANTED MY AMAZON ORDER NUMBER. THE NEXT DAY THEY OFFERED TO SHIP A NEW ONE, BUT, THE TIMING WASN'T GOOD SO THEY ARE SENDING ME A REFUND. I HAVE BOUGHT A NEW VIVOSUN AND AM VERY PLEASED WITH THEIR INSTANT "SERVICE". P.S. A THERMOSTAT AND A HEAT MAT ARE MUST HAVE PRODUCTS TO GERMINATE SEEDS INDOORS . I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.
