PHILIPS 246V5LHAB 24” LED Monitor, 1920X1080 Resolution, 250cd/m2 Brightness, VGA/HDMI, Stereo Speakers

Several hours of research had led me to this LED monitor. There were a few buying factors in consideration while I was looking into the different options of monitors online. First, it needed to come with a minimum resolution of 1080 pixels and screen size of 23 inches. Second, I was looking for monitors with built in speakers and HDMI ports. Third, the product’s price should be reasonable that it matches the quality and specifications.I have used this monitor for over a year in my dorm room where brightness can be on the extreme sides. The monitor’s display is still very visible even being shined directly under the sunlight from my window. When it comes to the night, the monitor display is not too bright and glaring. Hence, it is still comfortable to work with this monitor because it is gentle on your eyes.First, the monitor is 24 inches in screen size and 1080 pixels in screen resolution. This means that the monitor is capable of displaying full HD images or videos. I made sure that the specifications are accurate after going through the listed product description, specifications and also reviews by other users. As mentioned in most of the other reviews of this product, the specifications are accurate.Second, the monitor does come with built in stereo speakers, HDMI and even VGA ports. The built in speakers helped me to save cost on external speakers. Besides, it is a pair of stereo speakers in the monitor. This means better sound quality because of the two speakers instead of just one. The HDMI ports are convenient and made connection simpler due to the same ends of a HDMI cable. However, the monitor does come with a VGA port if you prefer a higher frame rate or still owns an old VGA cable.I purchased this monitor at a promotional price of $110, the original price was $119.99. This monitor is definitely a great bargain after comparing its price, brand and specifications with the rest available online.Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase. However, be informed that the monitor’ screen is matte instead of clear. Hence, this monitor might not be what you want if you are looking for a clear screen monitor. Some users specifically prefer clear screen monitors because it tends to enhance the display quality. Generally, I do not feel much difference between a matte and clear screen monitor as long as the specified resolutions are the same.In conclusion, the Philips 24 inches LED monitor with built in speakers is a good product due to its quality, price and specification.

Great monitor for the price with a good picture quality. No USB hub/power which I've come to expect as standard, useful for powering Amazon Fire Sticks and the like. This monitor does have speakers but they are truly awful, terrible, useless. For hearing the bings and bongs from an OS they're fine but for listening to speech or music, watching a YouTube video or something like that they're completely hopeless. How hopeless? Well most good cell phones have better speakers, an iPad has a vastly better speaker. Like I said, good picture though. Just don't buy this for the speakers like I did, now I'm ordering a small soundbar!

Had the Monitor for at least six months now. Absolutely no problems in terms of quality when it comes to picture, crystal clear images, solid quality. Only knock I have on it is the on board speakers top end blew out on me at about 90% volume or so during a movie i was watching and now when volume gets loud it get a little static injected in. But I didn't really have high hopes for the on-board speakers seeing as they're mostly up to par with the other speakers on monitors i've come across. Overall great quality for the price

This monitor does what it's supposed to do very well. I've had one for a couple years and just bought another to be consistent between my two monitors. I've seen reviews that detail the poor quality speakers, but poor speakers are commonplace these days, even in huge HDTV's, and this is a value monitor for it's size. High quality small profile forward-projecting speakers to fit in thin displays are very expensive. You get what you pay for. External speakers are the way to go these days anyway.

I got the 24" but really wanted the 28" however the price difference was so much I decided to go cheap. The monitor is crisp and I like that it has the tilt. The biggest problem is the buttons which are on the underside of the screen and hard to push. I need to hold the top of the monitor while pushing the button up from below. Very awkward. It comes with the usual cables, which is nice.

It's a good monitor, the picture is clear and sharp,But the controls are located on the right underside of the monitor, so you are working them by touch, You are unable to know what each one does, since you can not see them, the icons for them are on the front of the monitor, but they are black on black so it is difficult to see. Every time, I turn this monitor on or off, I noticed that it has to be pushed up evey time. I think that over time, the stand that holds it may become comprised by this action over and over.

I was setting up my home office and was looking for a large, attractive screen to place on my desk. The Phillips 246V5LHAB is a great monitor. The images on the screen are bright and crisp. The screen is large enough to have multiple items open at the same time (ex: Word Document and Spreadsheet open at the same time). I also found that the monitor does well in rooms with a lot of natural light. The monitor comes with a VGA cable.

This was inoperable out of the box. Tech for Amazon was efficient and confirmed it was bad within ten minutes. So I'm sending it back. Note Amazon was great about the entire process, so kudos to them. But, buyer beware. The display would turn on but it reminded me of the old test patterns you would see on tv. In this case though it was either shades of gray or blue. No other display would appear and none of the buttons, other than the power button, worked. The lighter color in the pattern would move horizontally back and forth across the screen, but that was it. So if your looking for a monitor that displays nothing of value and does not respond to any inputs, this is the screen for you!

Bought 2 of these. I love that they have audio capability that comes in handy sometimes. Quality is very good.

Got it during the lockdown and surprisingly, it works great despite it being an older model. If you are looking to get one for the home office, then I highly recommend you do so at this price.

I love that I don't need a separate box or more than one remote for this TV. I can watch my netflix, disney tv, crave, and amazon plus all with one remote. The only con is that sometimes it locks up and the remote won't work until you unplug the tv and plug it back in. Typical computer. Picture quality is nice. It's now my favourite tv in the house.
