My enormous ragdoll - who tries to squeeze herself into a shoebox on occasion (very comical!) - LOVES this carton bed more than anything in the world. She rolls around like in the picture but with less room to spare! I think your kitty will love it too.

Does this arrive flat?

No, it does not arrive flat. However it fell flat with my two cats. Neither one uses it as intended. For me, it was a waste of money. They do like ordinary card board boxes, however. (When you order from Amazon, you get a lot of boxes.)

What's the "massage" part of this product?

I believe the corrugated cardboard is what they consider the "massaging" part, since the box forms a valley for the cat the rub in. There is also a chin scratcher/massager along one side of the product.

Are there any replacement pieces sold separately?

I searched. There are no replacement boards. You will have to buy a new one or get creative. By the way, the three boards won't last very long if your cat really loves it. My cat got it for Christmas. It's March and we are on the last one. My cat scratched that cardboard as if there was no tomorrow.
