VVAY Vintage Kerosene Oil lighter Golden Combo with Permanent Match(Sold without Petrol)

The media could not be loaded. Good lighter with a little bit of a learning curve to get used to. The “everlasting match” is more of a gimmick than it actually working, striked once and has not worked since. The lighter on the other hand is built well from my experience and strikes nearly every time. A little tip i had to find out myself is that if your having issues with the flint, take out the little gold metal thing at the end of the spring and dont fully tighten the spring back in, no leaks with daily usage and for people struggling to spark it, use the little metal dials thats sparks it, learnt the hard way with a blister on my hand trying to spark it from the actual flint wheel and not the dials

I usually use Zippo, and refill around every 3 days. This has lasted two weeks without, so far, a refill. Easy to light of you have a reasonably strong thumb. Well designed, the permanent match once you learn the trick, put its edge in the grove at the side of the striker and push it away hard, works well. It has a place for a spare flint. This is how my favourite lighter.

Nice stylish lighter with a bit of weight to it. The striker is a little tricky to use at first, but you get the hang of it. And dose come in handy to light a tobacco pipe or a hurricane lantern for camping.You get some spair flints and 'O rings seals' as well as a wick, although not sure how to replace this should the time needed as the lighter is completely sealed.The instructions don't tell you that. It works just like any type of petrol lighter. But I have found it doesn't last as long. Strange.Overall, not a bad lighter.

If you want a novelty lighter that 70% of the time isn’t gonna work this is the one for you!Hahaha only had the thing maybe 18 hours and it’s already set fire to it’s self and slash my middle finger it takes so much force to get a spark or flame out of the “permanent match” which in reality is a flint with wick in the end not shown in the pictures ofcourse lol. The flints they send you don’t work because they are coated in some gold trash paint so prepare for that

The media could not be loaded. After using the item only twice the striking wheel fell apart. I also had to return Shane the wick because it was completely bent and would not strike.

Had my one since 2022 still going strong other than the reusable match that has snapped after alot of use

After a couple months using this I don't have much bad to say about it.Solid lighter for the fraction of the price of your usual 'Zippo' type fuel lighters.Very reliable and actually lasts a fair while before drying out which I was surprised at, lights first time until you need to refuel/rewick/reflint etc.Always a good laugh giving it to someone in a smoking area and seeing the gears turning too. Added bonus!Only gripe is while the match is a great addition if you are a candle/logburner enthusiast or otherwise pyro-inclined; the flint is not held on well at all and will fall out after a few strikes.I found that a tad of gorilla glue fixed this but you can also light the match with the lighter itself so not a huge deal.All in all, mint little runner. Better than a pocket full of disposables!
