Motor burned after about 3 minutes of blending
I bought this blender to make soap because several reviewers mentioned they had used it for that purpose. About a minute into blending, I noticed the speed of the motor seemed to change and about 3 minutes in it stopped completely. I tried cooling it down but it won't turn back on. There's no burned smell or anything and it never smoked or any of that. It's just stopped working. Unfortunately, I started using it outside of the return window so I guess I'm just out of luck.I contacted Chefman about the product since it's still supposed to be under warranty. I got an immediate response apologizing for the product and guaranteeing that they would replace it. Fast forward a month, total silence. I've tried to contact them about the replacement twice and been completely ignored. I was ready to edit my review if they replaced it but at this point, I'm disgusted.

Great product
I ordered this to make my smoothies every morning. I was using a bullet type of blender and it was so noisy and I had to have it on for bit of time. It always woke up my husband. I found this and I could not believe how quiet and powerful it was! He doesn't hear it at all in the morning anymore - and I only have to use it for 30 seconds or so! I love it!

Cheap garbage!
I purchased this blender knowing that it was a cheap product, thought I would give it a try anyway. It worked great the 4 times I used it. Then it died. I was only blending hot pepper sauce and soups, nothing too thick. After it died gave it to the husband (an electrical technician) to take a part, hoping maybe just a thermal fuse that could be changed out. But it was not. The motor itself is very poorly made. Very cheap pressed together connections. There is a reason it is only $25.00. You definitely get what you pay for. Absolutely a piece of garbage. Dont buy it.

Great for pureeing soups
The first time I tried this, I was disappointed. I think in retrospect I needed to have more liquid(I tried to make a fruit smoothie with lots of banana(unfrozen)). But the real purpose I bought this for was to puree soups, and there it worked beautifully! So overall, I'm pleased. I think I might see about purchasing a metal cup to mix smoothies in, as it's a bit too difficult in a bowl.

Don't buy this product it won't last!
I actually liked the product but it did not last, the blade fell out after hardly any use at all as you can see in my picture. I contacted Chefman and they informed me they do not sell a replacement blade and because my blender was outside the 1 year warranty period they would not replace it. I explained that it was used only 8 to 10 times and less than a total of 30 minutes of total use as I used it less than 2 to 3 minutes each time and only on soft products , eggs and tomatoes. To me regardless of how old it was ( it was 18 months old ) if you can't expect more than 30 minutes of use it is not a trustworthy product. In fairness to Chefman they were quick to reply to my emails and did offer 10% off any Chefman on Amazon Direct store front. I declined as I would not purchase anything that I have no confidence will last. They responded "It saddens us to hear that you were unhappy about our product. We apologize for not being able to come up with an alternative solution for you!" I also informed Chefman I would be sure to review their product. I just purchased another brand immersion blender I hope it lasts more than 30 minutes of use!

Decent for chefs / GREAT for the average home cook
I’ll start with the cons because it does what any basic immersion blender can do, nothing super special.ConsBlades aren’t very sharp but the work... depending on the preparation. Let’s say great for cheese sauce and things that give little resistance and/or don’t require a flawless spec free finish like a smoothie or simple BUT not so good for soups and sauces in my humble opinion (IF your looking for michelin star finishes lol)Doesn’t feel very sturdy but if your not rough on it...you shouldn’t have a problemNot completely sold on emulsification and foaming capability because it only has two speeds and the highest isn’t very fast so it takes a while (but I am a chef so hey)Over heats quickly but I haven’t used it enough to know if that’s a problem.PROSQUIET compared to a blenderSmall enough to fit anywhere and not stand outGREAT RUBBER GRIPAscetically pleasingDecent priceQUIET

House of flying daggers
Its neat when the little daggers or blades just fly out of kitchen stuff. Neat-O! No. This is why I bought the extended warranty. Six months. I had a different brand hand blender before this one that lasted until right after the warranty.Besides this when I first got it it was noticably more weak than the one I was used to despite listing same wattage. Hope asurion or whoever amazon warranty is through replaces it without ease and too much time. Im about to find out

DON'T BUY - stopped working after 10 times use
I bought this end of april 2020 and it broke down and stopped working in January and i had to threw it away.I used it may be total of 10 times to blend vegetable soups mostly and a couple of times to chop walnuts. It was working well although i did not like the fact that I had to hold on the key while blending. Iam very disappointed that I wasted my money and now I have to buy another one. I hope the company look into this.

Powerful motor and easy to clean, what's not to like?
During the winter, I often make soups and often big batches at once. If ever it is a soup that needs to be blended, I would have to transfer it to my food processor in batches as the pot was way bigger than the food processor. Then that would require another pot or bowl to pour the freshly blended soup into. Using this tool, you just blend it straight in the pot. While I have not used other ones, this one has a decidedly more powerful motor than most and does not struggle pulverizing vegetables and more substantial bits in the pot. Plus the price is great. If you're looking for an immersion blender, you can't go wrong with this one.

Great customer service!
Not as good as my old Oster one doesn't seem to be as powerful. Does do the job though.Update: Seeing I was not completely happy with my purchase Chefman contacted me to see how they could make me happy and even sent me a free product (electric kettle). Great customer service!

Good quality, love that it dismantles.
Great product. Lightweight but good quality. Nice satin feel to the body. So easy to clean. Love that it dismantles into two parts, so I can place the messy end in the sink or dishwasher without ruining the electrics. Does a great job pureeing and liquefying. Have only tried it on boiled potatoes and tinned tomatoes so far. Does a great job. Came in just it's box, uncovered so people could see what the package contained - which in my mind was a theft risk (if anybody in the shipping stream fancied an immersion blender). But it arrived safely and in good time. I'm very happy with it so far. I bought the black. Would have loved the red but it was so much more expensive, which is a shame.

Overall poor service and product quality
Product arrived in original packaging instead of being shipped in a box, product package is all beaten up, corners of box on top and bottom are dented flat theres a large hole on one side and signs of water damage on the bottom, product was undamaged but quickly overheated from regular use after about 8-10 min of operation then started making a high pitch whir, between the lack of care put into shipping the product and the products lack of ability to survive basic culinary tasks im giving this hand mixer a 1 star

Gets the job done
I haven't used it for ice, but this is a great product with great power. It's not easy to clean, but are any of these easy to clean? I have to change the way it's held from time to time, because pressing down the button is a bit uncomfortable, but definitely 100% on the blending power.
