Is there easy access for feeding fish?

Yes, the center areas of the 4 sides of the base are about half inch shorter so you can put your finger inside to feed.

How do you change the water?

The top needs to be removed. If there are fish in the tank, scoop 1/4 of the water out and replace with clean water. Replace the table top.

I wouldn’t consider this tank a good idea. Tapping on the glass of tanks can really harm the fish (imagine a giant gong going off in your ear every time someone knocks on your door) and a coffee table tank can easily make it difficult for your fish to get hurt by all the things that you place on the table (ex. Feet, coffee mugs, objects, etc.). Unfortunately, most people tend to see aquarium fish as household decor rather than living creatures and this tank is a clear sign of that.
