Assurant 3-Year Portable Electronics Protection Plan ($125-$149.99)

This was worthwhile purchase for me. During the course of owning our portable DVD player I had various issues (like skipping, DVD stopping, etc.). I pretty much just kept on using it because I felt filing a claim would be a hassle. Finally, it got to where it wouldn't turn on when you would close the lid to the DVD player. I decided to file a claim and to my surprise they issued me credit for the product. I would definitely consider using them again.

I bought a Turtle Beach 800 Elite and added this insurance to the bill. Almost 3 years later, they happen to break. I went to their website, I did a quick chat with one of the representatives and explained my issue. The representative asked for my account#. Minutes after, the representative told me that they will email me a gift card with the value of the headsets. It just took few minutes and a Day to receive my money back and I did not need to send my old headsets back-they did not need it. With that money, I bought myself an updated headset which works great for me. Easy and Fast, Thank You!

I had a set of Bose headphones that literally fell apart after about a year of ownership. One part of the device that fell apart was the rubber piece that laid over the controls for the headphones. Since it fell off, the headphone controls were rendered useless and the electronics were exposed and vulnerable to the environment. The Assurant representative insisted that this was considered "physical damage" under my plan despite this clearly being a quality control issue that resulted from normal usage of the device. They also insisted that this was "cosmetic damage" despite the fact that it rendered the device useless in terms of that functionality. All they would do was argue with me and deny coverage, despite the terms and conditions of the plan expressly stating that normal wear and team (or defects for that matter) were not excluded from the coverage. Your only recourse against them is arbitration under the agreement, which is far more expensive than buying a new pair of headphones under the cost-splitting terms (subject to AAA Rules) of the arbitration clause. Based on my experience, I'd steer far clear of this plan. Assurant is not reliable and looks to deny claims rather than stand behind their product.

We had purchased our 10yr old a chrome book for Christmas and shortly after we had an issue with it and couldn't resolve it. We returned the chrome book about month after purchasing and we received a new one within a few days.The exchange was so easy and hassle free. I highly recommend this insurance and I am normally the one that avoids insurance, thinking of plans as mostly a waste of time.Again we definitely benefited from our purchase of this insurance coverage!

Amazing company. Game camera broke and I emailed them. They got back to me right away but I was away and blew it off. They contacted me three more times and I finally got back to them. Nobody tries to get you three times to give you money. I had a check for what I paid in a week. Seriously a good company. Totally expected a lot of guff or pro-rated settlement, but instead they gave me full price, even after a year. Will absolutely use them again.

I bought my item 2 years ago and yesterday decided to put a claim on it because it was a little busted.Was very surprised with the fast response even on a Sunday! my claim was solve very swiftly. will definitely protect my items with Assurant in the future.

Bought the protection plan to cover wireless headphones back in 2017. The headphones just stopped working so easily submitted a claim online and within about 24 hours I received an e-gift card for the replacement amount.
