Questionable Quality
This item is questionable for the price. I was looking for a larger Brita water pitcher to replace a medium size one I had for many years. This larger pitcher doesn't appear to have a durable handle that is strong enough to support the 10 cup capacity. It feels like the handle will not support the weight and will break off after very little use. As such, I had to hold the pitcher both by the handle and the bottom to place in the refrigerator to prevent the possibility of breakage. It was getting annoying so to solve the problem, I just fill the pitcher about half way which totally defeats the purpose of buying a large capacity pitcher. If and when it breaks, I will replace it with a smaller, less expensive capacity pitcher that has a stronger handle.

Upgraded an old one that I dropped and broke after years of use
I actually like this model better. It doesn’t leak as you pour the water. Also years ago I had a water softener salesman test the filtered water to prove a point but it backfired. It actually proved that it worked very well and the water was clearer then the softener they were selling. So I’m a forever customer.

A great change in the taste of our water
We have nasty tasting water in our new house and this Brita is making it so much better! We drink a lot of water and nothing but water so we had to do something quick. Coming from a deep delicious well to a city water supply was a shock. Its still not fresh well water quality but its miles from where it was. Brita has come a long way from what I remember thirty years ago. Its easy to fill with a flip of the tab, the filter is easy to insert if you have it lined up correctly and it pours well. This is a big pitcher; bigger than what I thought I was getting but it fits in my door beverage shelf just fine. I wish there were a way to fancy it up a bit since I like things that look nice. Its hard to not make plastic look plastic but it is living in my fridge so I can't complain too much. The top doesn't quite fit snug. Either the very edge near the spout is up a few centimeters or the back by the handle is. I'm not sure if that is a problem or not. I would recommend this Brita Pacifica. It really does improve the taste of your water.

It's not a total improvement but it works.
It doesn't over flow into the handle when over filled.BUT...It does NOT pour consistently at all times and does leak a bit when tilted too far up.I use this to constantly fill up my water tank on my countertop GE Profile ice maker (the really nice one that makes Sonic ice or rabbit turd ice) I use A LOT of ice and have to add water 3-5 times a day sometimes.

Broke
Of course the filter works great. I’m reviewing the pitcher only. I wanted a red one to replace a red one that I have had for more than 15 years. Right out of the box, the lid does not fit. You cannot get it to stay on no matter how much you work with it. I simply prop it on top to keep dust out, but must lay it to the side to use. Without a lid to direct the flow, water gushes from the pitcher, so you get uncontrolled water going all over, especially when the pitcher is heavy with all ten cups of water. And finally, after about four weeks of working with this thing, the gray part of the handle has popped off, making it painful to hold. All in all, this has been a worthless purchase that I cannot return. This will now be $60.00 into the trash.

Close to my old one
I don't know why Brita produces so many shapes and sizes of water pitchers! This pitcher was the closest I could find to my old pitcher. The old one lasted 10 years; please see photos. The new one is the one with water in it.My last pitcher finally cracked at the top of the handle. The re-fill indicator was still working after 10 years! I never found a way of replacing the battery for that. If it ever gave out, I would just mark my calendar. The new pitcher is made mostly of the same material and is the same thickness as my old one. It's shape is different but it has the same features as my old one.The new pitcher's plastic is different where the filter fits. Hopefully you can see this by the photos. This makes the two different parts fit together easier. Whenever I needed to clean my old pitcher or replace the filter, I would have to put that upper part of the pitcher in the freezer for a while to make it easier to put together.

Brita user for several users
I like the 10-cup design as it holds lots of water. Smaller pitchers need to be filled more frequently. This is probably my 10’th pitcher in the last decade.

Love it!!
I was hesitant to purchase these pitchers. The quality of the water is so good. Much better than I expected.

Does the job well
I purchased this one when the Brita filter I had previously purchased at Costco had fallen and broken. I preferred the colour (light blue) of that one, because this "berry" colour doesn't match anything and it is quite bright. I purchased a replacement on Amazon because Costco was on backorder. This filter is nice and spacious - 10 cup capacity. I find that the spout is a lot more precise that the predecessor, and makes for pouring water into narrow bottles easier. I saw some comments about issues with the spout flap, but mine works well.Brita has a design flaw whereby when cleaning the filter, water gets trapped in the handle. It is not sanitary, and is possibly my biggest peeve with the product. This model hasn't fixed that issue. Please kindly give my review a helpful vote if you found it useful.

seems to work as intended
i put the city water into it which does smell of chemicals and it does help get rid of all the bad smells as a result. this is a nicer looker unit to what they had a few years ago and it gets a lot of use out of it daily. I have seen other brands offer better claims to get rid of more stuff in your water but this one is readily available at your local grocery store for refills as well.

Lid DOES NOT stay on
I bought this in an attempt to replace my old Brita water filter that was dying after a faithful 6 years. Attracted to this filters design I bought it expecting the Brita quality I knew and love, little did I know, I would soon be let down.Pros1. It can hold waterAfter racking my brain for a solid 10 minutes, the only pro of this filter is that it can hold water. Surely you might be thinking, it should be able to do the basic job of filtering water? No. If only this device had that level of competency I wouldn't be writing this review.Cons1. Can not filter water properlySomething is wrong. When you insert the filter, it has a teeny tiny gap that allows unfiltered water to leak through. If the water in the reservoir is above the filters bottom, the leak wouldn't have been noticeable and I only realized that it was failing at its one job after noticing that water was gushing out of the filter.2. LID DOES NOT STAY ONThe design in this product is horrible. I examined my old classic Brita filter and their new Lake Model and noticed both had grooves to keep the entire top part of the pitcher on. This one does not.It is IMPOSSIBLE to use the filter with one hand if you don't want your entire thing falling apart and making a mess. For those with big hands you can attempt to clasp down the lid however pouring more than 60% of the water will make the entire thing tumble down.In ConclusionThis is a horribly designed pathetic excuse of a Brita product. Lacking the two components you need in a filter, 1. Filtering Water and 2. Being able to pour the water. If you want an actual filter from the Brita brand I recommend checking out the Lake Model as that is what I replaced my Pacifica model with, however be wary as like every Brita product now, that one has its own issues as well.
