Ambient WeatherWS-3000-X3 Thermo-Hygrometer Wireless Monitor w/ 3 Remote Sensors - Logging, Graphing, Alarming, Radio Controlled Clock

This is a great unit. I have used units from another company for years, but they have always been a bit flaky. This one set up quickly. You hardly needed to look at the instruction book. I bought TWO of these, one base station upstairs, one base station downstairs. They bothj display all the sensors. I put one sensor upstairs out back outdoors, one down stairs in front, and three indoors in different rooms. Both base units display all of the sensors even though we have a pretty big house with a brick exterior. The ability to "calibrate" the sensors is neat. I put all the sensors side-by-side with an accurate mercury thermometer. After stabilizing for a few hours you just set the base station to read the same as the thermometer. The offsets were all 05. - 1.0 F. The graph function is neat too. It auto-scales so you can actually read it well. The base can be set to shut off the backlight at 10PM and on again at 6AM so it does not bother my sleep. There is a brightness button on the front panel too so it can be shut off manually at night. The WWV time receiver sync worked OK too. That signal is best received near sunrise or sunset. I have not yet tried the SD card recorder or the enclosed software. Overall I rate it 5 stars. The only improvement I would wish for is an internal battery in the base unit.

After seeing endless 1-star reviews on cheaper units, I decided to spend more and hopefully get something decent. I've only had this unit a few days, so I can't speak to longevity, but I can say that I have nothing to complain about so far. Unit has way more advanced features than I'll ever use! Very accurate and the individual sensors all read practically identical. Temp variance is just a few tenths of a degree on one sensor. Humidity was checked against a 62% Boveda pack and they all read 58%, so pretty close (manual says +- 5% is normal) and it was super easy to adjust the calibration to get them fully accurate.There are some wacky reviews on here, so here's what I personally verified: I put the sensors in another room and even put one inside a drawer. Unit had zero problem receiving the signals. I put them inside a sealed tupperware container inside a grow tent in another room and the unit had zero problem receiving the signal. (I was worried the reflective interior of the tent would interfere with the signal, but it did not!) I can basically put them anywhere in my house and monitor them from the comfort of my living room couch.

The price was pretty high and I was very skeptical as I have an out building thats not close to the receiver/display in which all 3 Remote Sensors work perfectly fine, no calibration needed! This is through 4 walls!!!! Setup is almost fool proof and so far nothing has occurred out of the ordinary. I wish I would have bought the model with 2 additional remote sensors but this is working as described but better than expected! The display is very nice and you can easily read at a glance the past 12 hours or temps and humidity. I would easily buy this again but that price is tough to get past :/UPDATE: About 2 months has rolled by and nothing out of the ordinary has happened with the unit. The batteries have died in the far out buildings remote sensor but I'm using rechargeable energizers, rechargeable's don't typically last as long as NiCad. All in all this has been an amazing tool to ensure accuracy of temps, dew point, humidity and on a chart to see the fluctuations over a 12 hour period.

Very easy set-up. Everything works well.It's good that the console is in color. It's actually small, but one can still see it clearly.. The console is packed with many features so it not only has temperature readings, but it has humidity, dew points and a graph to follow all the readings. The 3 remotes that came seem to have a good range and the readings are accurate. I hope it keeps functioning as it does now.

It works fine, but you can get one with 5 sensors directly from Ambient Weather's web site for only $1 more.

I've purchased two other remote thermometer systems from Amazon, neither one was cheap but both were broken within the first 6 months. It wasn't until I saw this system at a professional greenhouse that I realized that there are excellent systems out there. The remote sensors are excellent and have displays on them so you can read temp. and humidity directly but this is the first system that I've seen that can be calibrated! You can also store historical data and charts, add more sensors over time and choose from a variety of sensors. Overall, an excellent setup.

I first tried another brand with multiple monitors and had poor reliability. This is remarkably accurate and though the monitoring and tracking software could use a huge upgrade (just getting installed was a big deal on Windows 10). I have triple checked accuracy of each monitor with other types of thermometers to ensure I was getting accurate readings after first allowing to sit within the recommended area and height and all were spot on with each other before placing at the indoor and outdoor locations. I am well pleased with these units and still have two more channels if I find the need for another monitor or two. Again, great temperature monitoring device, poor user interface to record and look at trends with the software provided. Go directly to help for downloads and then the instructions must be followed precisely to have Windows 10 even recognize this dated software component offered on the company's website.

WAnted to be able to track the temperature and humidity in multiple locations at one time. The WS-3000 Thermo-Hygrometer console with color display makes it quite easy to tell the different sensor. This arrived quickly, setup was easy once the batteries were inserted into the sensors. I also put a 4GB MicroSD card into the console to save the history for future reference. The sensors are nice because they display the temperature and humidity at their location, and they also show up on the console
