I took a chance on this for my Breville BES400XL. I got it today and immediately gave it a try, and what do you know, IT WORKS!!! In fact, it works great. So this is for anyone trying to find a bottomless filter for a Breville BES400XL with a 51mm portafilter, this is the one.

I really loved the way it feels in your hard. It has enough weight and you can feel the quality. I just get the wrong mm size.I’m going to order a the bigger size.

I didn't love that this cost $60. There are cheaper models out there that are probably very similar. But, that said, this is a quality portafilter. The handle is longer than the stock Delonghi one and contoured, which feels nicer. It is a solid aluminum handle, if that matters to you - I had assumed it was plastic. The basket is high quality, in my opinion. It fits extremely precisely in my Delonghi Dedica Arte EC885 - not too snug, not too loose. 5 stars for quality, but 3 for value = 4 stars. It is worth it if you want to know for a fact that it will fit your machine and be a quality product.

I purchased this portafilter for our De’Longhi espresso machine because the original one was pretty meh. This portafilter has a good design and feels solid in your hands. The material is robust, and I have no issues banging it against the grind catch. It’s easy to clean, and I use it every day.

Bought this portafilter as an upgrade for a Delonghi Dedica ec885. Heavy and high quality construction you can feel well worth the price. Brought this modest budget machine up a few notches. Learning curve aside it pulls better shots now than it ever has using fresh beans and decent grinder. Would highly recommend if you are a Dedica ec685-885 owner. .

The 51mm 3 ear DOES NOT fit the EC680M. The ears are too big and it does not fit in the machine
