The media could not be loaded. Very pleased with performance of this so far. Needed an overhead fan light for bedroom with large windows, which gets very hot in the summer. Bought from Amazon with 5 months interest free instalments and at a £42 discount on price seen elsewhere, so good value for money. Chose the gold-banded version and it’s quite subtle, just a strip round the underside of the light, the rest of which is white. The retractable fan is made of colourless transparent plastic. The fan is very quiet in operation, even on the highest setting, but generates a decent breeze in our 10ft x 10ft bedroom. The size of the light is quite large - if there was one available at two-thirds of the size it would be perfect - but I think it would look out of place in a small room due to the size. When installing it, my electrician was impressed and said it was easy to fit and sturdy. He remarked that fan lights tend to wobble a bit when the fan is on full, but this one is more robust than others he had installed.The light contains several LEDs and a choice of colour temperatures from a cooler daylight setting to a warmer setting, which is what we use. It is bright enough for our needs, as I use the bedroom for crafting and artwork, so a good bright overhead light is important. The electrician said he thought the LEDs would probably last a very long time. One small thing to be aware of is that the remote control requires AAA batteries, which were not supplied in the box with the light. I think the manufacturer ought to have included these for the price paid.

But it’s completely the opposite. Looks great, and silent, just the noise of the wafting air.Pretty good installation guide and very well made.Well worth it for them hot summer nights coming up!

The media could not be loaded. This fan does have a few negatives. Overall it’s fantastic. Firstly installation was easy. Simple to put together and install. The fan is quiet and powerful, on the highest setting the whole room is very breezy! The three colour temperature settings are good and I like that it’s got timers and that the fan and light can be controlled independently. And the fact that the blades retract when not in use is a beautiful feature. However… the light is blindingly bright. I thought it would have a dimming function but it doesn’t which I’m disappointed about. It needs it! It’s far too bright for me and will probably not get used much. It’s like a floodlight in my bedroom! The actual light is also enormous. I have standard height ceilings and it’s so huge and bright it’s like a UFO is landing in my room 😂. Also the flashlight function doesn’t work. I’m not sure if I’d have ever used it but it’s annoying that it isn’t functional. So overall I’m happy but it could be better. The lack of dimming is my main complaint. It would be 5 stars if they’d included that. The fan is the redeeming feature though, it’s the best one I’ve ever had so it still scrapes a 4 out of 5 from me

Moved home and had to leave old fan lights behind. Got his one and could not be more delighted. Very good piece of kit. Works really well. Very quiet. Great breeze. Have only used first option so far and that is excellent. Have now purchased another one for a different room .

One of the buy on Amazon we have purchased, the light itself is very strong, but the fan , loads of speeds, blowing down or circulating the air, motor very quiet , it’s in our bedroom but thinking of getting one for our lounge and kitchen .

Best one we’ve hadIt does drop down from the ceiling a bit but it’s not too bad (it’s above my bed)It’s so quiet at night - I only need the low settingBe mindful that top speed made it wobble in the ceiling bracket - worried me a bit but in reality I would never use that setting as it was like strong winds in the room

Nice and nifty addition to my daughter's room. Full fresh on the build and installation process but taking away 2 stars for being non-compatible with any home automation. Being a Philips and expensive product expectations are very high and not met in full. Wonderful otherwise.

I have two of these, one in my study and one in my bedroom. Very quiet, multispeed fan. Reasonably easy to fit. I'm pretty poor at DIY, but these just fit in where the existing regular type ceiling light was. Obviously make sure you have a joist there to screw into.
