I volunteer 4-5 hours a day at a local Dog Park with no shade. It is too hot to wear long sleeves/ shirt and my fair skin will burn to a crisp without sunscreen/ protection. But I HATE Sunscreen- burns my eyes, feels sticky, and smells awful. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these sleeves. I didn't think it would be practical to "just get sleeves" (I also buy UV shirts) but with working and driving, it really is just my forearms that get the most sun. so far they are holding up OK- construction is fine but they are so reasonably priced I will not get bent out of shape if they tear, just get a new pair. I love the thumb hole that helps keep my wrists covered. They get dirty and not easy to clean (well, I expect that with whites). Very reasonably priced. I cannot wait to buy more.

I purchased these in black and grey for myself and a friend - we have an upcoming trip to Orlando, FL in July! We already live in the deep South so we're accustomed to the heat, but know we will need/want the sun protection for our arms during the day. I tested out my pair (black) this past weekend doing yard work from about 10am - 1pm! Very happy to say that they seemed to work perfectly! I didn't appear to get any sun (I tan fairly easily) and they were probably the only part of my body that stayed pretty cool! I thought that the black might heat up quickly, but they didn't seem to at all - will be buying more for sure!!

These have been awesome. They have a real cooling effect on the arms, particularly when there's a light breeze or you're moving fast.I originally bought them so I could go tanning! I tan very easily and my arms are darker than the rest of me, so I bought these instead of getting full-length, fingered gloves, thinking these would look less ridiculous pool-side.But since getting them, I use them all over the place. Yes, the pool, but also in the car on sunny days, when I'm hiking and would rather have the lighter weight, sun protection, and cooling effect of these over a long-sleeved shirt.They have prevented my arms from getting even more tan and they are easy to take anywhere.My only con is that they get dirty easily, but that's to be expected, and that they did unravel a bit when I washed them the first couple of times.

The fit is good for my (narrow) arms: comfortable, snug. They'd be good for winter.You really have to be motivated to protect yourself from sun with these sleeves because they are REALLY REALLY hot to wear: worse than loose cotton sleeves.The material is rough and fragile, just exactly like cheap tights.I keep them in the car for unexpected sun exposures and they work well for that.

I love these, I live in a hot climate and drive alot so these are a lifesaver to prevent my left arm from being a different color than my right in the summer because I tan very fast. I have pretty big arms I am plus size a 1x in most shirts and these are very stretchy! Sort of like an athletic nylon material. I have 2 pairs black and beige. The only thing is I wish these came in a wider range of nude colors to match darker skin tones because the beige color looks so unnatural on me, but it still serves its purpose. These are great for covering tattoos at work too.

I bought these to use outside on sunny days. I have a sun sensitivity that leads to welts and pain that last for a couple of days after being in the sun too long. These sleeves are perfect! They keep my skin cool, welt-free, and pain-free. It is cooler to wear the sleeves than to have the sun on my skin; even the slightest breeze makes them feel cool.I did get a small run near the thumb holes in both sleeves on the first day I wore them, but they have run any farther since then.I wash them in a laundry bag in cold water, then hang to dry.

I purchased these for sun protection while driving. I thought I would give them a shot. They are great! So great that I wanted to take the time and write a review about them. They are easy to put on, lightweight and comfortable. And I thought I would get hot in them, however, that is not the case. Great lightweight material. I hope you find this review useful.
