Having looked around for a “portable” work surface over two years but not very serious about it, this unit showed up in my prime day suggestions. I have a small shop in the cellar, and use my small garage when the need arises. This portable folding table looked like it might be “the one” so ordered it. I was a bit surprised at the weight of the box before opening, and sort of disappointed at the high use of plastic construction. My thinking was quickly changed on this unit when I set it up the first time. This turns into a very solid workspace in a hurry, it may be a whole lot of plastic, but it is apparently something made with who knows what for reinforcement, but it’s tough stuff. The height adjustments work great, it sits solidly on its feet no matter what height. The folding side “wings” that extend the horizontal work surface lock in place solidly, and I’m pleased with how flat the surface becomes when the wings are opened on each side. The various clamping configurations available from just a couple clamps and bench dogs are clever and pretty easy to set up. It’s not too bad to lug around folded up, and takes very little room to put away in my always crowded small shop space.I remember when those nearly all plastic “one hand operation” clamps first came out, and was very dubious about them. I have since ended up owning a dozen of them over time, and have found them impossible to break, easy to use, and almost always the “go to” clamps I reach for first, I must have 50 or more clamps of various specialized and general use clamps, so regarding these clamps as first choice is saying something!

So I just got this work bench today, I was messing around in my brain which one to buy and ended up with this one, adjustable legs, dog hole bench stops, 4 clamps? you can't really beat the value of this product for the price! so picking this item over any others was an easy choice, also I trust the Pony name which helped my choice. I opened it right away and while they gave you detail instructions how to open it up and set it all together I didn't need them it is pretty much self explained, don't put your fingers in the moving parts and avoid pinching!But if needed they are there for you to review but it was again very easy to set up. I will say this! it is very sturdy but WOW it does got little more weight then I expected to it! which is good because it feels like a high quality item and everything locks in place very nicely and it feels like it will last a good long while before needed to be replaced. While I have a work bench this just adds the little extra work space I need in my small shop and if anyone else needs a work bench that feels like a work horse this is a great buy! Oh also it folds nicely and tucks away into storage spot with each, 10/10 from me! Once I got it I made a small little shelf for my wife out of teak, making cuts, clamping it down, and working on this table was a breeze to I moved it to my other table for the finishing sanding details! see photo for little tired shelf I made!

I poured over reviews for weeks trying to decide which portable work table I wanted. I decided on the Pony table because it had adjustable legs a great design and came with 4 bench dogs and 4 clamps. (2 - 12" and 2 - 6" clamps) This table is offered with just 2- 12" clamps by some sellers and will maybe have a lower price. To add the 6" clamps later it will cost you $30.00, so if you want them get them in a package deal. They are really nice clamps and work perfectly with the table. I love his table. It is built like a tank and the clamps and bench dogs work great for holding just about anything you need. I can't imagine buying a table that isn't height-adjustable. With this adjustable table, you can sit or stand to use it. I am getting ready to do some work on my snow blower and I will cover the top with a piece of cardboard and put it on top of this table to work on it, instead of working on the floor on my hands and knees. I do woodworking also and have already used the clamping setup for a glue assembly. Excellent product and an excellent seller (GreatStar Tools). Amazon shipped this it and it arrived in perfect condition. The only complaint I have is I'm 76 years old and it is a little heavy, to carry around, but I will manage, it's a great table!EDIT UPDATE: I recently made a dolly with locking 2" wheels so I can wheel the table around the basement and not have to lift it. (see last photo) It is very handy to roll it over to the lumber rack when selecting wood for a project etc. Adding the wheels has increased its versatility. Still 5 stars a great table!
