Met needs, exceeded expectations!
Present for my partner whose last Wenger gave up after about a decade, and it looks set to last for the next ten years too! Pleased with the quality and weight of the bag, and with the sturdy ergonomic straps. In terms of space, measured perfectly to put in a MacBook and a Microsoft tablet in the two separate pockets, and still have enough space for paperwork in the main compartments. He was particularly pleased with the organised small pockets in the front compartments, and I'm happy with the zipped high-wall side compartments so their size can be adjusted without wearing out any elastication, or without things falling out.

Wenger did it again!
Wenger have once again provided a high quality backpack which will have you in compartment overload and a place to put all your items! What I like? There's a compartment for everything, have you got a phone? Excellent there's a phone holder at the small compartment in the front. Do you have a water bottle? Buy another, it can hold two at a time! Do you often carry around £10,000 of technology in your bag? Well, you probably shouldn't but this bag will help you if you really want to.The bag has 5 zipped main compartments and two side compartments for things like an umbrella or water bottle, one right at the front which at the moment I'm using to store a facemask so it's not spreading the germs will all my other stuff, a small front compartment which you can use for storing your phone (more on that later), a couple of pen holders which I'm using for small usb cables and a zipped sub compartment at the back where you can hide away your noodles of cables. The bag also has two big sections which you can use to store a large laptop and tablets + have room for lots of other goodies and there's a section at the top which you can use to put all your frequently used items ie wallet, keys, ID cards etc.The handle at the top is very sturdy and gives me confidence that it won't break like my old Wenger backpack which was just two bits of plastic clammed together. What can be improved or added? The bit at the back that is used to go around a suitcase I think is unnecessary for a backpack, if you're travelling in most circumstances, wearing a backpack is not a problem but it gives you options, I'd prefer some thicker padding to support your lower back a bit better when you have heavy items in the bag.A hard protective section would be great for things like sunglasses.I think the SD Card holder at the front is unnecessary, if you're carrying a camera of any good quality you're probably going to have it in its own case which will have storage for an SD card, give us another pocket or remove the stitching between the SD card compartments so we can store something larger. The soft touch phone holder at the front isn't big enough to fit all modern phones like my Galaxy Note, if you've got anything bigger than a Galaxy S8 (maybe an S8+) you'll not be able to fit it in there.

Great quality bag, comfortable with lots of compartments.
Great bag, very well made, sturdy construction. There's no fold flat feature, and although the description talks about a flat base it does need to lean on something.Easily fits a 15" laptop in either compartment.

Pretty much the ultimate bag, the only downside is that I am going to have to buy my wife one now she has seen mine...
TL;DR: Just click the 'Buy' button. You will be glad you did.Having had a Wenger bagWenger 600635 SYNERGY 16" Laptop Backpack, Padded laptop compartment with iPad/Tablet/eReader Pocket in Black/Grey {26 Litres} for the past 12 years I had absolutely no concerns about the build quality of the brand. My reason for purchasing a new bag was not that the old one had worn out in any way but simply that it was too big for my current needs. After much reading of reviews I settled on the Gigabyte as it resembled my Synergy and that had been such as good bag.First impressions were that it was quite a bit smaller than the Synergy, but once it was opened up I realised that there is a great deal of thought that has gone into the storage features of this bag.The very front pocket has the usual wenger array of pouches and clips etc for phones, glasses, pens, keys and twelve foot ceremonial pig ticklers. One great thing about the Gigabyte bag is that this pocket has a set of pouches for memory cards and the phone pouch is lined with a microfiber material. Which, given the design of current mobile phones featuring glass and all metal chassis is a very good idea. The section sitting next back from the front pocket is gulp pocket for those items that you need access to immediately and frequently. I use mine for inhalers and tequila...The main pocket is sub divide by way of a mesh 'bag' type pouch on the inner face which is very useful for cables and chargers. The main body of the pocket is just a big pocket, ideal for documents and folders etc. It is this pocket, however, that has the 'case base' fold down which give so much stability to the bag. The 'case base' is in reality a dense piece of flat material, likely card, stitched into the internal material that give additional structural integrity to the bag. All that said, it is well worth having as it stops the bag from falling over like other market offerings. The Main pouch has another surprise, this time it's a small pouch against the back wall which is lined completely with microfiber material and is designed to hold a tablet. The design not withstanding, this pouch is large enough to hold a Microsoft Surface Pro easily and gives me no cause for concern about it's safety or security. The final and largest pocket is all microfiber lined and its like slipping your hand inside a chinchilla. There are no additional pockets or pouches in this final pocket but that is because it is intended to hold your 15" laptop. I only use a Surface pro so don't have experience of a laptop in this pocket but would definitely trust my device to such a well designed pocket. The only other thing to add is that this id the only pocket with a lockable zip.Pros: Well designed, Multiple stowage option, microfiber pouches for your devices, strong handles, water bottle stowage, the list just goes on...Cons: No headphone pass through, hey retention system could offer a retractable device so you don't have to un-clip them every time. All in all, This bag is as good if not better than my previous Wenger. For someone who, professional speaking, lives out of their bag this is the one for you. Yes, the price does make you stop and think but don't let that be the deciding factor. If you think you need it then you do need it.

I have tried lots of backpacks. This is easily the best.
I have tried lots of backpacks. This is easily the best.It has a very sturdy construction, is comfortable, has every option you can think of built in and is very cheap for what it is.It’s just the right size for a cabinet luggage carry on. I use it on my trolly and that works well. You would be unlikely to regret buying one of these (as you can see from all the other 5 star reviews).
