Great price and great product.
i paint War game Miniatures on a regular basis, a lot of them usually in bulk.have been using this same compressor without the tank for about 2 1/2 years now but the motor finally decided to die.it has seen heavy use at least 3-4 days a week for sometimes 5+ hours so it was expected.decided to go with the tank version this time as my usage has increased.assembled and had a brush hooked up in less than 5 minutes. has been sitting for about an hour with no leaks and is functioning perfectly.having the tank is immediately a noticeable upgrade as it reduces the inconsistency in air pressure and doing some test sprays went well.if this one lasts another 2-3 years like the last one i would not hesitate to purchase another definitely at this price.if you are reading this review and pondering if this should be your first compressor purchase, don't hesitate.

Air Compressor Review
So I purchased this for painting scale models with my airbrush. Overall the compressor seems to be a fine product. There were a couple of issues though. First, The water trap was difficult to get aligned properly. It took about 20 different attempts at putting it on in different degrees so that it would align upright properly so the drain was downward. Second, the provided air hose had bad threads on one end. This prevented the air hose from seating properly, and allowed air to escape. When I contacted to company they said they would check their warehouse for a replacement hose but then dropped off the face of the earth. So I ended up purchasing a replacement hose from a different company.

Quiet, no leaks, no missing parts
My first airbrush compressor, works great! This model doesn't seem to suffer from the issues that other similarly priced models do. The tank is connected to the compressor with a rigid tube and right angle fittings instead of a short hose. The air filter screwed in tightly with about 10 wraps of the included teflon tape and I was able to orient it vertically without issue. I've left it sitting pressurized for several days and haven't experienced any loss of pressure so no leaks. Very little noise compared to a shop compressor, comfortable to use inside without ear protection. Rubber feet keep it from walking around and the handle lets you carry it easily even with the heatsink gets hot.Only problem was the slow shipping, took 10 days from the west coast to the east coast.

errors
when you put the dryer on it is not correct as shown in the photo. Mine was over 90 degrees off of vertical.

The air compressor works!
The air compressor arrived in good condition and all the accessories are included. The white tap used for air tight seal is too little and the biggest issue is that when I screw in the regular and moisture trap, it is not flushed and straight, it is skewed almost at 70 degrees from the perpendicular. I resolved this by fitting a rubber washer ring that also acts as a air tight seal between the air tank and regular moisture trap. The air compressor is relatively quiet and it performs as advertised. It is small and very portable for me to setup in any location desired for air brushing.I am very pleased with my purchase.

getting regulator on straight.
great compressor, had to wrap extra teflon tape to threads to get regulator on straight, just don't tighten to the end, stop almost there, mine doesn't leak works great.

Good quality for the money
I bought this compressor over a month ago for airbrushing model kits and I've used it almost daily since then. It was easy to assemble and the components such as the hose are good quality. I've only run it between about 15 and 20psi and my sessions with it are 20 minutes or shorter but under those conditions it's quiet, consistent, and reliable.

Yes The Threaded Adapter Issue is Real
When I read the negative reviews about screw thread adapter to the regulator assembly, I thought "oh these people don't know how to deal with tapered pipe threads". No, in fact the problem is real. These are not tapered pipe threads. Or if they are tapered, they have been machined too far, so the pieces screw together too far, all the way to a hard stop, and you are unable to adjust the dryer-regulator to vertical. I tried adding way more teflon tape than should ever be required, couldn't take up the slack. The screw thread adapter-to-regulator leaked even when screwed down to the stop (albeit still at the wrong angle). The threads don't match a US-standard NPT thread. Pitch is slightly off. Maybe metric, or maybe some old British standard. Pipe threads are like that, lots of "standards".My "fix" was to remove adapter from both tank and dryer+regulator, fill all the threads with Goop glue, tighten it almost to the stop and hold it in the right position until it hardens. Still hardening, but I think it will work. You shouldn't have to jack around like this to fix a newly purchased product. Buy something better. Sad, because the compressor and regulator seem otherwise ok.
