It was easy to set up
This bed is a LOT of bang for the buck. It was easy to set up, and it looks great in our room, though the headboard is lower than I'm used to with more traditional looking beds. My wife picked this out, and she knows more about style and taste than I ever will. The entire piece came boxed and packaged within the headboard, very clever and super effective. The bed is very sturdy, and I am not worried in the slightest about wear over the years except for POSSIBLY the fabric on the side due to children and dogs doing what children and dogs do. My one mild complaint is the plastic feet. My wife likes them, but to me they look cheap in our otherwise nice bedroom. I believe if you didn't personally interact with them during the building process, you would never really notice them. But, I did, and they do bother me a small bit. However, it is not difficult to find alternate furniture feet at your local box store or order them elsewhere. The feet use standard bolts that can be picked up at a hardware store, and some nicer finished wood feet could be a nice upgrade. I'll put that on my extensive project list, but it had better be behind the fence and the living room if I'd like to stay sleeping in this very nice bed with my wife :).Tips: Build on a level surface, follow the directions exactly, and do not fully tighten ANY bolts until the directions tell you to. Do not force anything in. If you have to force it, then a corresponding bolt is likely just too tight (it may have seemed loose but bolts tend to bind up as you add additional pieces that start pulling them in different directions). Loosen any suspect bolts and move the piece causing you trouble back and forth, up and down, and side to side until everything shifts and falls into place.

Very sturdy, slat spacing under 3" - perfect for latex/foam mattresses
First of all, the color is NOT as it displays in the product image - it is a medium gray that leans towards warm, not the light taupe that I am seeing on my color calibrated monitor. There weren't any customer photos when I placed my order, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but both taupe and gray would have worked for us, so I was willing to take the risk. The bed is absolutely fantastic. Whoever engineered this thing should get some kind of award. The headboard comes securely double boxed, and everything you need is organized in a zipper compartment in the headboard. They even include spare screws!Putting it together was ridiculously easy and barely required any tools. I've spent many hours assembling IKEA furniture before, and in comparison this was a walk in the park. On top of that, as everyone says, the bed is incredibly sturdy. I did put some non-skid pads on all the legs (Scotch Gripping Pads Value Pack, 36 Pads/Pack, Round, Brown, Various Sizes, (SP941-NA)) since we have hardwoods, but even without that I feel like you could jump on the bed and it wouldn't move. I was not expecting that at the price point, so that was a pleasant surprise from Zinus!Another thing that was a very pleasant surprise was the slat width - the slats are just under 3" wide with about 2 1/4" spacing between them which means that you can use them for your foam mattress! I had to add slats to my old platform bed, so it was great to not have to bother with that again. The mattress in the photos is a 10" thick Queen sized Spindle, and with the pillows down it looks just like the product photo with buttons showing. If you prefer to stand the pillows, the button detail will likely be covered.Overall I am very happy with this purchase. Yes, it lacks in refinement compared to a $1500+ bed from C&B or West Elm, but at the price point it's a fantastic deal - this is a sturdy, quality bed frame that I expect to last a while.

Beautiful and pairs perfectly with Zinus mattress.
Pairs perfectly with my Zinus mattress. I didn't realize, or think, how low to the floor this frame is and with a memory foam mattress you don't have the standard box spring so the bed level is lower than I was thinking. It's been 8 months now and I am used to the height and love the mattress and the way the bed frame looks. Exactly like the pictures and description. Very affordable too.

I really like it and decided to take the gamble
I was worried about buying this product at first because there was no product review. I really like it and decided to take the gamble. I am glad I did the product is great solid product and I was impressed. I didn't bother to look and see where it was made but it didn't feel like Chinnes junk. It was easy to assemble once I gave up on the directions. The directions were a nightmare so I tossed them across the room. Lucky for me I am a man so I don't need directions. The bed frame even came with extra screws and bolts! Seriously it did! The extra screws were labeled extra on the package. If I had to make a complaint I would say shipping took over a week even with prim. The object was really large and heavy so expect shipping delays. Also there is not a lot of height beweet the floor and the bed to store anything under the bed. I had some plastic storage container under my old bed that would not fit under this bed frame. So to summarize pros: well built product, great quality. Cons: Very heavy and took a while to ship and confusing instructions. Side notes: not much storage room under the bed
