I would say yes.. Growing up my family had several of these and every Christmas I would spin them once or twice and almost every time the blades would go flying just like the movie, which I am watching right now, lol! Don’t tell your kids that that Santa crap is just bull!

I just set my carousel up for the holidays and it won't turn. Any ideas on what I can do to make it work? It has new candles !

Add more candles if your room is cool it takes more candles (heat) to make them spin. So either more candles or turn your heater on then the room will be warmer and the heat from your candles will make it spin!!!!

where are the pryamids actually made?

Must be Chinese. German manufacturing would be way more than doubled in price.

Is this made in Germany and is it hand made?

Not certain if they were made in Germany. Bought it a couple of years ago. Is well made, but not certain if it's hand made. We've used it for 2 Christmases without any problems, and still enjoy it and look forward to putting it together. Sorry I couldn't give a better answer.
