Will this work for a Sony 42AM flash to mount on a Sony nex6 camera?

No. Its a adapter to older sonys. It doesnt fit current models

Could not fit my Pentax K100D

I ordered this to be able to mount a Sony flash on my Pentax K100D but it could not fully engage in the camera's shoe, would not lock in place and of course the flash would not fire. Amazon took it back promptly and gave me a full refund.

Worked for me. Using Sony flash on my Nikon.

I traded in all of my Sony gear except a Bower flash. Using this adapter I can now use the Bower flash (that was made for a Sony hotshoe -ie. the original Minolta design) with my Nikon D3200. I have not have any issues using it.

Worthless, and falsely advertised. This does not fit all of the cameras that it specifies. Nor does it fit very many Sony flash series.
