I bought two and they work great for us. We needed them to keep our child (with ADHD and no impulse control) from eating a week's worth of sugar at a time. They are thin and I'm sure you could smash out apart if you really wanted to, but for just sitting in a shelf they are totally fine.

Awesome lockbox. Great value for the price. Had it built in a couple of minutes and it was good to go. High quality lock and materials. Blends in nicely, I also organize with it. Very quick and easy to get to stuff (if you know the combination). Good lock, easy to change code

Update 7/17/23: The batteries ran out while it was locked and the countdown was enabled and it completely bricked the device. It's now impossible to get the latch to retract. See picture: Note the lock icon is unshackled and the locking latch is still extended. Had to jimmy open, since it was completely non-responsove despite timer running out. I even tried setting another timer and switching to code lock.Old Review:If you're buying it for you, obviously you need to be bringing some will power to the table: it's a plastic box you snap together, it can't do everything for you. I just wish there was either an option to limit the max time it will lock for or the vendor sold a version that only locked for a max 24 hours. (if they do, send me the link and I'll change to five stars and buy it rn!). As it's far too easy for days to get added accidently after you initiate countdown because you can change the time for two minutes (I hate this feature), and its boring to sit and watch a box for two minutes.

Super easy to put together, works like a charm!!! Keeps the candy locked away from the little one!

Worked great for keeping my lunch safe from coworkers. Easy to set combo and clean when required. Did not take up much room in the frig, used a few times on our counter top.

It worked okay for me...wish it was available in a bigger size so I could keep more food in it as I keep my snacks locked up in the employee walk in fridge at work. Would have liked to put in more stuff if it was bigger.

I used in the refrigerator to keep food that my brother might steal. I am glad they are ventilated, so the food cooled quick enough. It is also difficult to see the food inside to tempt someone to want it. I wouldn't use them to keep mice out though, as the mice could get through the holes.
