Perfect for use with sun shirt.
Yes, if you tighten the band down snuggly, it will leave a line on your forehand for awhile. The effect is due to the brim being somewhat stiff and packable which allows it to retain its shape. The headband has to be more open pore absorbent material in order to be effective. That said, it’s the perfect complement to a hooded sun shirt like Columbia’s PTG long sleeved hooded shirts. You don’t have to tighten the visor down. You can simply place the visor loosely on your head. The hood will hold it in place. Also, the hood covers most of the brim so it’s ok to get a practical color like slate vs an impractical color like white. The combination of hooded sun shirt and this visor I found to be superior to wearing a sun hat and shirt w/o a hood. Hooded sun shirt and this visor are cooler, more comfortable, and more adaptable than any other combination I’ve found. It’s easy to take the visor off and tuck into your belt or back pocket if your hiking through shade for a bit. Then you can easily put it back on once you’re back in the sun.

Best performance for the price! Great for runners.
I am an avid female runner and live in a very sunny place so I was always on a quest to find the perfect visor. It had to be lightweight, comfortable, wicking, have decent sun coverage, and durable. This visor fits all of those criteria. Most unisex visors are not flattering on women because the bill is basically the same as a baseball cap. This visor's extended bill wraps a little more around the sides, not only increasing the sun protection coverage, but also lending a flattering shape to the visor. The material is performance poly which evaporates sweat very quickly. There is no towel-like lining on the headband, so this visor is not hot on the head. I bought the dark gray and it is comfortable in the blazing sun. The hook and loop closure in back is secure and has not worn out with a few months of use. The foldable seam in the middle of the bill makes it easy to cram into a gym bag or a back pocket, when not in use. I even wear this visor when I go out for headlamp night/pre-dawn runs. It is easy to layer the headlamp over it and the bill keeps the glare of the headlamp from getting into my eyes. Even though this visor is not the most stylish one out there (I wish they would make one in plain black!), it is the most functional, economical, and comfortable one I have found and I have tried visors from Lululemon, Adidas, Nike, Pearl Izumi, Head Sweats....you name it, I have tried it.

Most portable and useful sun visor ever!
I just purchased another Aero Visor because it's my constant companion I grab when I walk out the door to walk, hike, boat, bike, drive, go to festivals, work outside, camp, snowshoe or just about anything I do outside, in sun, rain, even snow. I shovel snow with it on under my hood because it keeps the snow off my face and reduces the glare from the snow. And it's also the perfect packable travel item.I found my first one at a flea market 12 years ago and since I prefer visors to hats, thought it'd be a handy item since it folds in half and I can slip it into my pocket, purse or backpack very easily and I liked the wide and deep coverage it offered over other typical visors. I loved that one so much that I soon purchased another one from Sunday Afternoons, the company that makes them, so I'd have a back-up visor and another color choice. And here I am,12 years after my first Aero Visor purchase, buying a 3rd and 4th visor. My original visor is still in great shape because it is so well made. The only reason for new ones is because my original one is slightly faded and has some sweat stains that still remain after washing. And that might be because I don't stop using it long enough to wash it much. That old one will now live in my car as a back-up. I just used my new one on a 5 day gals trip to the mountains where it came in handy for walks around the lake, shopping and even during a hike where the sunshine turned to rain and then hail and snow. I knew I always had it handy and folded in the side pocket of my backpack, ready for whatever adventure I was heading to. Great job, Sunday Afternoons! Please keep on making the Aero Visors... and in more colors too!

Worked as expected, no issues.
Happy wit the purchase and would buy again. Survived a week at the beach, packed and unpacked, day packed, etc. Lightweight, nice color, and kept her face out of the sun. The brim is a good length, not too short or long. The clip could be maybe more sturdy, but it hasn't broken yet. Has plenty of strap, in fact we cut off the extra because her hair was gripping the extra velcro. But room there for larger heads.

The Perfect Sun Visor!
As a dog walker I’ve tried a TON of different Sun visors. I need something light weight, not hot, and provides a good shade. I hate heavy materials and scruffy sweat bands. This doesn’t have either! It’s adjustable, portable, and provides a lot of shade. Thinking of grabbing a few more to keep in different vehicles and work bags.

Pretty much the perfect visor
This is my second one of these great folding visors. I don't remember where or how I bought the first one, it has lasted so long. But when I nearly lost the first one in the Gulf of Mexico, I decided it would be good to have a backup. Although the original light blue color was no longer available, the grey is a fine replacement, and now I have two colors to wear. Easy to fit with hook and loop, can be worn on top of the ears to keep sun off them too, comfortable and virtually indestructible. Great for tennis, hiking or water sports. I either rinse it out or toss it in with the laundry when it gets salty. Nicely flattering to boot.

Not what I expected
I purchased this in the Slate color. It looks like a solid color online – but it’s actually a dark gray color with a light gray trim all around it. It’s very packable – but while it looks like a seam down the center of the bill, it’s actually a “split” which allows you to fold the visor in half. The visor is not a “soft mesh” material as I’d anticipated as packable, but rather a stiff plastic bill under the fabric which folds at the split. It’s very lightweight and allows for size adjustment via the Velcro in the back.
