Breyer Bayberry and Roses - 2014 Holiday Horse

Great detail, accurate (but kind of creepy) pink eyewhites. The models I saw in brick and mortar stores all had so many flaws I wasn't sure I would order one. This one has many small flaws, too, in both the mold and paint. Very odd coloring, purple, dark blue and burgundy are all visible in the darker spots. I am considering putting this costume on a different color of the same mold #1498 for holiday display.NOTE: since writing the above review, I bought another of these. Still a great model, paint and mold have many flaws, but the costume is tacky (the berries and some leaves feel like thick adhesive on tape). Breyer will not replace the costume. From the outside of the box, the berries of a tacky costume look slightly more shiny than the costumes that are dry.

The horse is so beautiful! He was delivered on time as posted for the delivery date. The package was very well packed and the horse was protected very well. Everything the seller posted about the box and the horse was just as he said it was. I am very happy with my purchase. This horse is striking and beautiful. I love the pose and his color is unique! I love it!!! He is a beautiful addition to my collection.

This piece is absolutely gorgeous! It came exactly as described, I would venture to say that it is LSQ just from looking at it through the box. I see no major flaws in the paint or the mold. I can't say enough how beautiful Bayberry and Roses is! It came in a very timely manner, too. If you only purchase one new Breyer for your collection, I would urge you to choose this one.

Bought this for a Christmas present for my daughter's collection. It has beautiful decorations on the horse and is a very dramatic figure. I did think that the coloration on the horse could have been a bit more detailed and realistic the way the higher end Breyer's tend to be.

Came super fast and was packed with much care. Breyer did a better job this year on the holiday horse. The past few years the decorations on the models were cheap and falling apart. I have the whole series and I am loving this one. Do note that the model I received was more of a slate grayish slight blue color with mane and tail an off white color. So the actual model horse was darker than the picture on amazon and on the back of the box picture. My husband and I agreed we like the darker me del better than the picture. Also past few years the holiday horse has been so expensive I have to wait till like March after Christmas to afford it but this year it was a more reasonable price.

I have been collecting Breyer horses for 25 years now= every single one of them is a treasure - beautifully made, painted and in graceful, sometimes majestic poses -- but Bayberry and Roses is SPECTACULAR. The colors, the implied motion, the regal bearing -- almost wish I could make this horse come alive.

I recently ordered this for my daughter to add to our collection. This year's holiday horse is beautiful although in the picture, she looks more whitish however in reality she's more of a grayish color. Still beautiful and I we actually prefer the grayish color but it was a bit of a surprise. Very nice addition overall though!

Annual purchase to add to my collection, which I display year round on top of the cabinets in my kitchen. They make me happy. This one is AMAZING.. the colors are wonderful.

The colour is darker than shown, a little more silver than white. I love the attention to details in both the painting of the model, and the decorating. It's just beautiful.
