INKESKY Shimano EF500 3x8 Speed Shifter Brake Lever Combo for Mountain Bike

I recently replaced my 18 year old Shimano shifters with these updated shifters. So far they are working very well. The thumb press is larger than my original shifters which is a nice improvement. I also hear an audible click for both up and down shifts. My prior shifters only made a click sound when shifting to a higher numbered gear. The indexing is spot on as well. I recommend them.

Bought these to replace an old XT set that had just had it, not holding gear any longer in the rear.They were easier than I thought they'd be to install, easy to calibrate, and generally just easy to use all the way around. Shifting is working well and off we go.Why only four stars? Two things:(1) The downshift thumb bar is bent sheet metal with a plastic thumb pad rather than cast as it was on my old XT set. Feels cheap. I know this is entry level gear, but this feels *really* entry level.(2) The angle of the brake handles significantly reduces the leverage that you can apply. You have to squeeze a lot harder to get the same braking with this set than you did with my old set. It's just a matter of the angle, but I much prefer my old set.Price was right though, and they work very much as intended. So—four stars.

I love these shifters coupled with altus front and rear derailur. They work smoothly and accurately everytime. Great product!!

Great product but defective. First they came wrapped in foam and in a sealed amazon envelope. Second when I had them installed at the shop 1 gear skips for the rear between 6&7. I paid $32 for install and now stuck with it because you don’t know something is defective until it doesn’t work when together.

Just as described. New but did not come with original packaging. Shifters work wonderfully and are a great value.

These are good. I like them and they work fine. What I didn't like is they came from Hong Kong and took about a MONTH to get to me. If I would have seen that before I bought them I would have gotten them somewhere else. But they made it eventually and the work fine.
