Solid ride for children and adults alike
The media could not be loaded. My friend's son has been begging for a hoverboard ever since he rode his neighbor’s over the summer, and so my wife and I decided to purchase this one as a Christmas present after some research. Needless to say, he LOVED it as did his dad. We asked both of them for their feedback. They used their experience riding their neighbor’s as a point of comparison (they own a dual 150-watt model name brand from a big-box store). What they like in the Gyroor G5:- Self balancing. Makes it easier for beginner riders to get on and off. No fear of the board flying out from under your feet when mounting or dismounting. Their son was able to mount and dismount the board with no problems. Equally important, his mother with some balance challenges had minimal issues riding this board.- 300W dual motors. Allows for heavier adults to ride with confidence. The lower wattage models felt strained and produced a louder whirring sound while in use. This model is responsive and maneuvers with ease.- Responsive. Once you get the hang of riding the board, the ride becomes pretty intuitive. The board responds well to your weight shifts.- Nice, solid, grippy wheels- Nice bonus with the built-in speakers which are adequately loud, clear, and provides some “umph” to your ride. What they did not like:- The instruction manual leaves a lot to be desired. There were no clear instructions on how to get the speakers to work. More tech-challenged users will have to fumble around a bit to get things working.- Instructions on how to manually switch modes are also not easy to follow. Definitely download the app in order to do things like changing between child and adult modes.Overall, they said that you should definitely spend the extra $50 to $75 dollars for this model as it is a good compromise between the dual-150W and the dual-350W+ motor ones. Adults will be able to ride just as confidently as the kids on this board.I haven't personally tried the board myself, but will one day once the pandemic is gone and I can go visit them again.

Solid and Durable Hoverboard!
The media could not be loaded. I have 2 young boys who are very active and are "hard" on their toys. We have 2 older hoverboards that we purchased for Christmas 2019 that are now very badly banged. I would upload pictures of those hoverboards but don't want to bash other companies. So from that experience I've learned a few things.First, get a decent sized motor if your kids are going to take it off road like mine do regularly, enjoy going fast, ride up and down curbs/driveways or plan on climbing hills. Our previous model had dual 200w and 250w motor vs this one has dual 300w motor and you can definitely feel the difference.Second, make sure it has the "self-balance" feature. One of the ones we had did not have this (or it had it but didn't work well) and when my child jumped off or fell off the hoverboard, it would roll. Roll meaning head over heel type of rolling. This destroys the top side hoverboard and it eventually falls apart. This Gyroor G5 hoverboard self levels very quickly when you step off the board and when you power it on.Lastly, make sure the top side of the hoverboard is made of durable plastic or metal since this area gets banged up the most. Once the top side cracks or pieces break off, the hoverboard starts to fall apart. This G5 model feels rock solid and is heavy. I could not bend the wheel-well when I tried. We've only had the hoverboard for a short time, but so far it's performed very well. The acceleration is quick, the lights are bright and changeable, and the battery life between charging has been excellent. Even though this hoverboard didn't have many reviews, I took a gamble on this one based on the pictures, description, and the positive reviews on the other hoverboards that this manufacturer sells, and it worked out great. Plus I knew if it didn't perform, I could return it with Amazon's great return policy! A+...great product!

Very solid and seems well built
I did a lot of research trying to find a hoverboard for my kids for Christmas 2020 and I ended up getting this one. I wanted something that they would be able to take on the grass and would be durable. They have yet to take it outside (it is winter here) but have been riding it around the house a lot. It is pretty heavy and feels very solid and well built. It can go very fast but the kids (mine are 10 years old) handle this thing crazy well. It took zero time for them to become experts on it. So much so that they make it look easy...too easy. Warning for parents, no matter how easy they make this thing look DO NOT try it. I think it has a secret "fling parents off" option, both my husband and I went from vertical to horizontal in literally a split second. It you do decide to take your life into your own hands, make sure you are in a large area with nothing you can hit on your way down. You've been warned ;)There is an app that you can download that lets you set a max speed, adult vs children mode, and turn on/off self balancing mode. It also lets you change the light colors. You can connect your phone to the board via bluetooth and you can play music through the wheel speakers. It is fun to surprise your kids with silly music, or funny sounds, when they are riding on it. One issue I have though is that if I have my phone (Android) bluetooth on and I come home, it automatically connects to the hoverboard. I just mention this so that if you are at home and trying to play something on your phone or you receive a call and can't hear anything, it might be blaring out of the hoverboard speakers somewhere else in the house. Overall great purchase, can't wait for them to take it outside (with helmets on of course)
