As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, atomic timekeeping means the users never have to reset the time. Very Durable, Great Performing Watch for Active Lifestyle!!
First, let me tell you that I'm not an Ironman, nor do I run for any extended period of time. HOWEVER, owning this watch for the better part of a decade has resulted in me loving this thing. It seriously has proven to be my favorite watch over that time because of how it performs. I originally purchased it as my "work watch" for offshore construction and maintenance work. But it quickly became my "daily-driver". It's one of those products in life that you buy....and you just keep using it because it fills your needs and you don't have to worry about it because it's not super-expensive. You can throw it around and beat it up and it still does everything you need. This thing has been that type of tool for me. I love it. OK, enough with that, let's get to the good and bad summary:The Good:Price - for the amount of use and durability of the product, my opinion is that the price is a very good factor.Watch Size - The watch overall is a smaller type dial, but larger number readout. This is perfect because bulky watches snag on things and are an overall burden to me. It's the main reason why I can't do the G-Shock watches...they are too darn big! So this watch doesn't snag or catch and is also nice that it doesn't interfere with long shirt sleeves. For every-day activities, I don't have to worry about my watch snagging or banging off something due to size. Also, when wearing a jacket and gloves....you don't have to move alot of material to check the time.Readout Size - The watch may be small, but the numbers are large enough for easy and quick viewing. I don't have to squint to see what time it is.Watch Material - Plastic with rubber strap. This thing can take a beating. I wore this while working on offshore robotics. I was constantly reaching in and out of machinery for maintenance work. This thing may have scratched, but never broke and didn't harm anything it came in contact with. Also, it doesn't get cold like metal watches. So when I wear this hunting, it's not freezing on my wrist.Indiglo Light - The dial light is enough to read in dark scenarios and not blinding like some others. It's the right amount of light when just waking up or checking the time in the deer stand.Chrono - I use the chrono constantly. For everything...from cooking a steak on the grill....to timing how long I've been watering my grass. It's easy to get to and use.Time Zone - When I was travelling alot for work, time zones changed alot. This watch can have 2 time zones stored at one time. For example T1 would be set for Central Time and T2 would be set for Mountain Time. As soon as I would land...I would hold the button on the watch for a few seconds and the time zone would switch over. I didn't have to take it off and adjust the dial or anything like that. I know this may not be a factor for most, but if you need it to change time zones....it's super convenient. OH....you can also just view it briefly if you just want to check. For example When calling my brother....I can just quickly check to see what time it is for him by checking my watch.Battery Change - The back of the case has small screws and if you have the screw driver, you can replace the battery yourself. This is much more convenient and cheaper than taking it to someone. The Bad: (Not much, but had to come up with something!)Strap Pins - While working offshore, this watch was subjected to a decent amount of salt water. Over time, the metal pins that keep the strap to the dial corroded and had to be replaced. I always tried to rinse with fresh water, but could only do so much. I understand that this will probably not be an issue for the majority.Battery - Personally, I like that I can replace the battery myself. Unfortunately though, sometimes the battery craps out without warning leaving it useless. This isn't much different from any other battery powered watch, but it still sucks when it happens. I guess this isn't really a bad thing more as it is a fact-of-life.In conclusion: I'm a big fan of this watch, mainly for reasons outside of running or doing Ironman races. I'm sure this thing is awesome for that too! I believe that if you are an active person that doesn't require a massive G-Shock or Garmin, buy this thing. You'll be very satisfied.

Great watch for great price!
I'm a fan of the Timex Ironman series. I like their button placement, intuitive functions and how to use each system (e.g. timer, alarm, etc.), and overall design. I'm also an outdoorsy type, also somewhat athletic, but more so hiking, backpacking, camping, jogging (not so much working out). So I bought this watch as a day to day watch to wear, has the functions I need, and I don't mind scratching up. I also have a nice dress watch just for special occasions, and I'm looking to buy a very good outdoors watch (e.g. Suunto) with some cooler, high tech functions for my serious backpacking stuff (but I don't want to wear it day to day in case I lose it); just to give you an idea of my purpose I had for this watch. Overall:Pros:- Good color and overall design in my opinion.- Standard Timex Ironman design, intuitive and simple.- Enough functions for daily routines (e.g. timer, two alarms, chronograph, date, day of week, indiglo etc.)- Water resistant to 100m.- Good size, thickness and dial diameter. I remember someone reviewed that the dial size wasn't what they expected, and thought it was too small. I read this after I purchased my watch, before I received it, and was afraid I got a small dial size (e.g. girls version or kid size) but turns out it was the standard adult size. It's not the super big diameters like the 'fashion' watches these days, but it's definitely not small enough that it doesn't look appropriate for an adult male (I'm 5'10").Cons:- None so far.- Someone reviewed and said the strap broke after a while? Seems possible, but even they said it was after a couple years. I'm not too worried, works well so far.Overall, a solid watch. Good for day to day, has multiple practical functions, simple intuitive use, looks very casual.I give it a solid 5.

Buy it
I am new to running, and needed a watch to start timing my laps and work on my speed, but didn't want to spend too much. This watch was the perfect choice. I like the size of it, it's not heavy at all, so you can run without feeling an ¨extra¨ wieght on your wrist. At the same time is not too small(which I don't like in some watches, that looke somewhat feminine). It doesnt feel flimsy or cheap, on the contrary when I put it on I can ¨feel¨ quality, and the strength of the wrist actually surprised me.Numbers are the right size, is extremely user friendly so you can start using all of the features right away. The laps timing function is great to work on improving my speed. The indiglow light is great, and you can choose lo leave it on at all times or activating only when you need it.Great price-quality ratio. You will not regret it

Very nice watch for the ones who want to use it ...
Very nice watch for the ones who want to use it while working out. It is a small watch, I wanted a watch which is light weight and the one which I could use while working out or while jogging. This fulfills my criteria. It is a simple good looking watch. Delivery was also prompt and fast from Amazon. Arrived within 2 days of ordering, much earlier than the date which was given to me after placing the order.

but does not look good. But watch is amazing
i have used this watch for over 6 years .I bought another for a friend as a gift to him.If strap has been worn out it is hard to get an original strap. I matched with a different strap. but does not look good. But watch is amazing ...almost anyone who looked me wearing this questioned me about it and price. A good one.
