Hoover Quiet Performance Bagged Canister Vacuum, SH30050 Corded

I have a 1995 hoover Futura.It still works great but use it to clean cars.I like this new one has plenty of suction.My 20 year old carpet stands up nice and fluffy.It is quiet also.Only draw back no where to store the tools.Great vacuum for the price.

This is a shorter version of what I sent to Hoover and they blew me off:I had a 12 year old Hoover Windtunnel Cannister vacuum that I adored. It worked so well on hardwoods and carpets. It had small red side brushes on the edge of its carpet attachment that picked dirt from along baseboards. All of its attachments fit neatly onto the canister and the wand itself hooked nicely for storage. [I tried replacing it with this Hoover] Well, first, it is louder than my old Windtunnel (my kids commented on this immediately) making its name laughable. Second, the attachments fall off and the three-in-one design is barely usable. Its suction is okay but I have to go over the carpet more than once, which I never did with my Windtunnel. The carpet attachment has no side brushes and the hook/docking for the wand makes it fall over. Why did you spend any money engineering this when the Windtunnel already was so functional? I am so disappointed. Every time I vacuum its like a memorial service for vacuums that actually clean.

Lots of tools come with this vacuum. The problem is there is nowhere to store them. Our previous 3 vacuums (all a different brand) had tool storage areas built in. That's the only negative we have found. Suction is really good - to the point that it is sucks the power head down on think carpet and makes it difficult to move. So you reduce the suction in such situations and still cleans great. Beater bar takes care of that. Just takes some getting used to. Long reach using the wand without the power head makes it easy to vacuum tops of heavy drapes without removing them. Quiet compared to our old vacs but that is sort of expected. We would hope sound levels would improve with products 20 years newer. This model is also UL listed - the company that writes our standards, not anyone else. I won't buy any other.

It has great suction and is extremely easy to use. I am not used to the canister vacuum style so it is a little cumbersome but have great versatility. The fact that the hose detaches from the wand allows me to clean places I wouldn't otherwise reach.

It was quiet to start with, but after a few months of use, it isn't as quiet. It is got so much plastic that I don't think it will last long, since plastic tends to break and isn't fixable. The power head is small, but I really like the swivel part. The floor head doesn't pick up bigger chunks of dirt and mud very well. It isn't as good as my old hoover. It has now been 2 years, and the hose at the handle has split. I would not buy this machine again. Very disappointed.

I have always loved Hoover vacuum cleaners. Unfortunately this one does not live up to previous Hoover standards. This vacuum does not come apart easily to use the attachments. The problem is the concealed power cord plug. It is not easy to disconnect. It is like using an upright. If you want a canister buy another brand. This vacuum is easy to vacuum carpet but not to change to different attachments which is why someone buys a canister vacuum. I do not recommend this product. I also do not think the vacuum head has enough power compared to previous models.

I had high hopes for this vacuum as my owned my previous Hoover cannister vacuum for 15yrs without anything more an normal wear and tear and maintenance needs. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for this model....Carpet attatch very difficult to maneuver on 10x20 area rug. Attachments for small places are impractical to use and have no storage area where it is not continually knocked off into the floor while attempting to vacuum. Filter for out going airflow on the back constantly comes off due to poor rubber ring seal coming off and creating a heinous whistling sound. Further more the hardwood floor attachment has too much distance from edges of walls and corner to get good suction into those tight spots. And most recently it has a electrical malfunction with power button and suction adjustment buttons preventing it from turning and staying on, would come on only briefly with the suction increase button. I bought this vacuum in September 2019 and its now March 2020. Very disappointed.

I went in search of this as one of my clients had one and I was very impressed with it. However, after I finally tracking one down for myself, I've got a couple of beefs with it. The big one is that the catch to the bag compartment fell off and has disappeared forever, who knows where. This happened in the first week and I became aware of it when I picked it up the machine and the compartment door just fell open. This obviously affects the suction, so now I have to resort to duct tape to keep the compartment sealed and closed. Not cool.My second beef is not really a beef but a personal preference of mine. I would like the on/off control on the handle, not on the body of the machine. There is a switch on the handle to turn the brush roller on and off but not an actual power on/off control which I would like.Overall, a good machine and I love the different suction levels but could be improved a little bit.

Fast delivery and was on Sale ($100 cheaper compared to Canadian Tire for same unit).. Bought for my parents and has been working well.. Quieter than other hovers and great suction.. Easy to use..works well on area rugs and hardwood floors..Hoover customer service is excellent ( I've a Hoover vacuum - diff unit, and customer service sent me replacement parts for free even though it was my fault). Am withholding the 1 star to see how long this machine lasts.. My Hoover unit although different has been going strong for 2+ years!

This is the quietest vacuum I have owned. It is super light weight for people with bad backs. Attachment tools are not very good though, they don't hold on properly and fall off easily.
