Hayward W32025ADC PoolVac XL Suction Pool Cleaner for In-Ground Gunite Pools up to 20 x 40 ft. with 40 ft. Hose (Automatic Pool Vacuum)

Our first use of this vacuum was during our “pool opening“ which inevitably involves a lot of debris that has found its way to the bottom of the pool.I almost returned this product when it failed to operate on my first use. As I was packing it up in its box. My wife noticed that there was a rattling inside of the vacuum-surely I thought, this thing is a piece of junk. my wife looked inside the bottom of the unit and noticed what appeared to be a rock. In fact, there were several rocks inside of the vacuum, and they had jammed the paddle wheel that causes the vacuum to move. The vacuum is that strong that it sucked up some one and a half inch diameter rocks that had found their way into the pool unbeknownst to us.Since then, the vacuum has worked perfectly. It’s really ideal for cleaning up every several days. We just drop it in the pool and check up on it in a few hours and the pool is pristine. It does not climb right angle sides, but it will climb lesser angles, which are predominant in our pool.I’m a little OCD on efficiency and so have figured out how I can get the unit from storage to operating within two minutes. I really have no interest in the more technologically involved electrical units with rechargeable batteries, etc.. It’s just another device waiting to have some stupid problem. This thing is very simple and it’s engineering and utilizes the existing pool suction to do its thing. It’s also significantly less expensive than the more “advanced” vacuums.

Item was delivered promptly and was exactly what was expected. Hayward vacs are high quality but have many working parts and do require maintenance over time. Parts are easily replaced. When working properly the Hayward vac is the best option for keeping your pool clean in my opinion.

DO NOT BUY THIS. You CANNOT RETURN this item after amazons return policy and it will break at 2 months of use. We had a Hayward we were replacing that was as old as dirt because we just had our pool redone. This one didn’t even come close to the old version. The black inside piece came out of where the bearings are and the side of the black part broke. It would spin intermittently so it took us about 24 hours to realize it was broken. In the mean time to wore a hole into the inside of the unit. I contacted Amazon and they said there was nothing They could do. I called Hayward and the only thing they offered is to submit a warranty claim and hope it gets approved by this vendor.So, I have a broken pool vacuum that is brand new and no one will he me. Complete waste of $400.I will refrain from ordering something like this again on Amazon since there are no protections for buyers.

I purchased this vacuum as a replacement for my sand shark that had lasted 7 years in my below ground unscreened pool. I would have stuck with the previous brand but the price had increased so mucj i needed to find a economical solution. This one was in my price range soi thought i would gamble. The install and operation is identical to my previous pool vac. It does not move as quickly around the pool as my previous vac but that’s okay as long as it does clean the pool. I did clean the skimmers and the filter cartridge before hooking this up. I do like the handle on the back to lift it and move around the pool. Made of heavy plastic, which works for me. The hose appears to be a bit less substantial than previous brand. I will update with any maintenance issues/input. Good buy for the price.

We've purchased tis pool cleaner before. After several years, it just wore out. We didn't hesitate to buy exactly the same pool cleaner again.

I bought mine in September 2024, was working great, now it just goes in circles and doesn't cover the pool for cleaning. I would like to get a replacement. I don't want to feel I paid $399 + tax and delivery for something that's no longer working properly in less than the 1 year warranty

I usually have to purchase a vacuum every 2 -3 yrs. I purchase the same one. It cost a little more than I like , but I like the fact it's easy to install and easy to use. It vacuums the whole pool while the pump is running. It's a good product and I recommend to anyone.
